bow slayer Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 I have a older minkota foot control 28lb thrust, just want to know if anyone knows what kind of amperage it will draw? I am going fishing/camping for 6 days in a tent to Restoule and will not have any electricity to re-charge the battery. Just want to see how long the battery will last . thanks.
cpguy29 Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 Well it certainly wont last 6 days, I would say 3 tops if your fishing hardcore.
ccmtcanada Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 (edited) Depends on what speed you will be using it on. I just spent 4 days fishing----probably used the trolling motor 3 to 4 hours a day on the lowest and second to lower setting and it lasted the entire time. When I got home to recharge it, it still had 1/3 the charge in it. Bring a fully charged spare battery if you can to be safe. Edited August 22, 2008 by ccmt
Glaucus Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 35 amps at full power (if it’s built since 2003) http://www.microconn.com/marine/images/motor_specs.pdf
boatman Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 About 2 hours at WOT with a standard group 24 marine deep cycle battery or 3 hours with a group 27.
