Loomis repairs now handled at Shimano Peterborough

I stopped at G.Loomis in Mount Hope on Wednesday to have a new guide installed on one of my rods. Lorne Greene, who ran the Canadian operation, was the only one there. He said they are now shut down, all the girls who built the rods are gone, and that all warranty work was now being handled through Shimano in Peterborough.

Shimano bought Loomis about a dozen years ago, but they continued to operate as two separate companies.

shimano, loomis, and croix rods are the best

 

i had no idea they were makin loomis in mt hope though. thats like 5 mins from my place
