super dave Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 I have my 6 and 9 year old nephews visiting me and they wanted to go fishing for a couple of hours. any place close to the pickering area where they can easily catch some panfish and possibly a bigger one? Don't want to go too far. maybe 30 mins or so. Thanks!
Bly Posted July 27, 2008 Report Posted July 27, 2008 Morning Super Dave, You could try Frenchman's Bay or even Duffins but if it were me with 2 younger kids, I would head to the docks in Port Perry. Good luck!
BigGuppy Posted August 28, 2008 Report Posted August 28, 2008 Which docks in port perry. I've never been, is there a specific marina or a public dock. I'd like to take my little guy up there as I don't have a boat. Thanks,
GBW Posted August 28, 2008 Report Posted August 28, 2008 The Causeway on 7a can be a bit dangerous with kids but worth a try for some perch. There are a few parks along Water St that is just off 7a. I see people there all the time I go by but there may be better places from some of the locals...
ccmtcanada Posted August 28, 2008 Report Posted August 28, 2008 Head to the docks where the big Dinner Cruise ship is docked. Cant miss it...just head down Water Street towards town. You can catch panfish right there with a simple hook, worm and bobber.
