brandon Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 Haven't had too much weather cooperation lately to take any real pics but i did manage a couple... This is a sitka black-tailed deer fawn And a Queen Charlotte Island Black Bear cub in a tree enjoy
Deano Posted June 16, 2008 Report Posted June 16, 2008 Great shots, especially the eagles. The second eagle pic looks intimidating.
wallyboss Posted June 16, 2008 Report Posted June 16, 2008 Was the eagle in the second picture eyeing the fawn, as suitable lunch??
brandon Posted June 16, 2008 Author Report Posted June 16, 2008 fortunately for the fawn, it's a little too big for an eagle. The deer here have no natural predators. The bears don't eat them because they have all the shellfish and salmon they could ever want so the deer population is out of control.
goodtimer Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 been cruisin around the photo section for the first time...love your shots brandon....very cool!
kitkat Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 Hey Brandon, Thanks Again for sharing such a wonderful part of this country, it's richness in wildlife is second to none. And you captured it so perfectly with your wonderful trained eye. My dream is to visit the QCI's one day, for the fantastic fishing and amazing photographic opportunities. Maybe we could even hook up at your resort...and shoot together. Something to aim for anyway! Keep those fantastic shots coming...they are my highlight of the day Fisher Girl

pameladallaire Posted June 26, 2008 Report Posted June 26, 2008 Hi Brandon: Your photography is becoming amazing! Keep up the good work. Your bear painting is finally on the pile to finish in the next 2 weeks! I know, I'm slow as molasses in January. Too many things in the works. You will receive a print at the end of July. I'll keep you updated. Bear Drinking work in progress Pam
pameladallaire Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 OOOPS, now I did it. That was Basskickers photo. Didn't you give me permission to use one of your photos Brandon?? Now I've got to look up my files. Pam
brandon Posted June 27, 2008 Author Report Posted June 27, 2008 lol you had me confused for a bit there Pam..........and yes I did give you permission. Let me know which photo you would like and I can send you the file
pameladallaire Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 Thanks Brandon: I thought I was loosing my mind for a minute. I have all your photos in a separate file, I'll look them over and let you know. Don't forget, you will get a free print when I finish the painting. Do you have a favourite you would like me to do? Pam
brandon Posted June 27, 2008 Author Report Posted June 27, 2008 I don't really have a favourite so it's entirely up to you
pameladallaire Posted June 27, 2008 Report Posted June 27, 2008 I have to donate a painting to The Owl Foundation for September to raise money. Since you have many Great Horned owl pics, I wonder if I could use Great Horned 1 or the winking baby horned owl on your website. I really like that one, he's a cutie. Pam
brandon Posted June 28, 2008 Author Report Posted June 28, 2008 Thats great that your doing the painting for charity. The choice is 100% up to you though on which one you would like to paint
pameladallaire Posted June 28, 2008 Report Posted June 28, 2008 Thanks Brandon: If I have my choice....I really like the winking one on your website. Not a typical presentation. I love to make people look twice. Could you send me the image to [email protected]? I will credit you with the reference photo of course. I am very careful with Canadian Copyright Laws. Thanks again. Pam
