redfin Posted June 9, 2008 Report Posted June 9, 2008 Hi my power trim suddenly quit on me yesterday, I checked the fuse and the wires and everything seemed to be Ok. So I called my mechanic and only found out that he’s retired. Can anyone recommend a reliable/ reasonable tech in Oshawa, or Lindsay area that I can take my boat to? What a bummer on the Musky openr …. Thanks folks.
Sinker Posted June 9, 2008 Report Posted June 9, 2008 McLarens marine. Its on #35, north of Lindsay. Larry is the only person, other than me, that touches my engine. He's always done a great job, and gets it done fast. I've tried numerous places from durham to Lindsay, and they are the only ones who keep me coming back. A family run operation, thats been going for a long, long time. Just google them for the number. Sinker

2 tone z71 Posted June 9, 2008 Report Posted June 9, 2008 have you tried the relays, if ya trace the wires coming out of your trim unit and have a 12 v source, you can disonnect the plug and put a + and - to the terminals this will power the unit and reversing the unit will raise or lower the engine,it could also be your trim rocker switch has failed if ya wanna try it yourself
