GBW Posted April 21, 2008 Report Posted April 21, 2008 hi all. Does anyone know if they are doing the Kids fishing day again in Barrie this year? Thanks.
kickingfrog Posted April 21, 2008 Report Posted April 21, 2008 I thought that it was the Rotary Club that was involved, but I couldn't find any info on their web site. There's a bit of time though, because I think it's done on the family fishing weekend in July.
misfish Posted April 21, 2008 Report Posted April 21, 2008 If Im not mistaken,Tim Hortons runs the event with the support of other charity groups in the city.
GBW Posted April 21, 2008 Author Report Posted April 21, 2008 thank you both. I tried to find anything with dates for this year so I can take my kids but only found the 06 and 07 stuff. if anyone finds the dates please let me know, thanks!

GBW Posted April 22, 2008 Author Report Posted April 22, 2008 thanks kenny but I'm trying to find out about the one in Kempenfelt bay. I sent an email yesterday to the addy. above, now I wait...
GBW Posted April 22, 2008 Author Report Posted April 22, 2008 FYI, I just got an email from "The Crazy Fox Bistro" about this event. Hello: Yes there is another 'kids fishing day' this year. It happens on Sunday June 15th at the same location. Hope to see you there. Just watch the web site which should be updated very soon. Happy Fishing!
kickingfrog Posted April 22, 2008 Report Posted April 22, 2008 Found this for last years event: http://www.teachakidtofish.com/ The date was June 24th. Bass was open on Simcoe. If it is June 15th bass won't be open (4th Saturday in June). Tim Horton's and the Rotary club were the title sponsors. FYI Family fishing weekends are: July 4-6 2008, February 14-16 2009, July 10-12 2009. This doesn't clear anything up I realize, but I'll keep my eyes and ears open.
