DIY what? Clean it ? Make one? shorten one? lenghten one?

If you're talking cleaning, lightly sand with a fine-grit sandpaper, then wipe down with a wet cloth. Will look like it just came off the tackle store shelf!

Make a red cedar one if you have the tools you won't regret it, I'm in love with wood handles since 2 years ago when i tried my first one, it's like the difference between no stretch line and regular line for sensitivity added and just as light surprisingly.

yes i need info how to make one: cut pieces, glue them and put on the rod, what glue to use and so on.
