fatherof3 Posted January 5, 2008 Report Posted January 5, 2008 Went for a walk around town early this morning and started taking pics of old buildings. Here are a few. This one is a church. These ones are a retirement home that has a staircase that does not go anywhere and you can take a tour of. These are of a funeral home. These next three are buildings backing onto the train tracks. This last one is of the first factory I worked in when I first moved to Paris a long time ago, lol. Anyway, there is my mini tour, hope you enjoyed.
Deano Posted January 5, 2008 Report Posted January 5, 2008 HDR works so nice on old structures, are you using a wide angle lens on some of those pics? The only thing that would really add to those pics would be some dramatic clouds. I've been holding off on some of the structures I want to capture because I would like to have the clouds just to fill in the space. Great angles and perspective on those shots, the third one is awesome, you used the tree to make up for the lack of a great sky.
fatherof3 Posted January 5, 2008 Author Report Posted January 5, 2008 I prefer to have clouds in my shots as well but nature just was not helping today, lol. As far as the lense I am using it is the 18-55 lens that came with the camera.I have not got around to getting any other ones yet.
shane Posted January 6, 2008 Report Posted January 6, 2008 They sure did some amazing brickwork in the "old days". Nice shots.
b2kptbo Posted January 6, 2008 Report Posted January 6, 2008 Yellow and orange really picks up which I think adds too the winter (snow) shot, 2nd house looks spooky, well done...
