fatherof3 Posted November 24, 2007 Report Posted November 24, 2007 Took this one early in the morning.Again, tried using nine shots. I am not sure if I even like this one as I am not crazy about how the snow looks. It seems too blue to me.I am going to try working on it some more and any suggestions good or bad are welcome.Oh ya,with the well and the stairs should it be off centre even more or does this look ok kind of centered between them?Below is the full shot I am working from so I have room to play with this.Let me know.
danc Posted November 24, 2007 Report Posted November 24, 2007 Blue snow has been a white balance issue for me in the past FO3. I'd suggest playing with it next time out.
Deano Posted November 24, 2007 Report Posted November 24, 2007 slide the temperature to +1 or +2 in Photomatix, i use -2 for bluer skies, but for snow the +'s work better. Cool pics though.
fatherof3 Posted November 24, 2007 Author Report Posted November 24, 2007 thanks guys, will be trying again today so will see what I can get
spanky Posted November 24, 2007 Report Posted November 24, 2007 i just ran it through paint shop pro using their tungsten setting and came up with this... lightened it up a bit, removed most of the blue i think... as for the composition of the photo, tough one... for me i'd probably shoot it with the well on the far right and the steps leading up just to pull the view to the top of the hill... the path of the stairs make it weird tough tho... shoot it how yuo're happy
spanky Posted November 24, 2007 Report Posted November 24, 2007 and here.... now i wasn't there so i don't know if it's accurate, looks about what i'd expect on my monitor, i think......
