mattyk Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 I woke up early this morning and went down to fish before my wife woke up. I was able to catch one nice sauger. I caught it on a 3" white berkly power grub. The sauger and hybrid striper fishing should be picking up as the weather cools down here on the ohio river. I let the fish go. This was the only one that i caught but i guess it was better then not fishing.
Clampet Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Nice Fish. Fer all of you that are wonderin' what the difference is between a Walleye, is the lack of the white spot on the tail.
Whopper Posted November 12, 2007 Report Posted November 12, 2007 Glad to see ya out and about with a rod and reel Matt Thanks for sharing
Mike Pike Posted November 12, 2007 Report Posted November 12, 2007 Sauger are cool. I wish we had more of 'em up this way. Always love reports from the sunny south( relatively )so thanks for that Matt!

ccmtcanada Posted November 12, 2007 Report Posted November 12, 2007 Cool! Great catch...something I've never seen up close and personal before.
mattyk Posted November 12, 2007 Author Report Posted November 12, 2007 i caught it in the ohio river. There are so many of them here in the ohio. I think the daily limit is 10 and i see so many people taking 10 fish home every time they are out.
