Looks like im getting some severance

I posted about a month ago now that the plant I worked at closed and filed for bankruptcy protection .. well they closed the plant in Hamilton last week and the workers took over the plant .. they say I am going to get some dough .. WHOOOOOO HOOOOO .. plus I just started a job today

BFG, I understand your getting about 70% of what would be your normal severance... Alot better then nothing! Especially in bankruptcy Protection!....time to add to your Ice Fishing Collection!!

Remember, don't spend it all in one place and check to make sure of the tax implication. I think it's taxable and check to make sure tax has been taken off, or, roll it into RSP if you have room.

Yeah last time I got a severance, they withheld 48%, then I got dinged at tax time for another $5000!
