Shore fishing near guelph university

Does anyone know any place near guelph university to fish for anything other than panfish?

Try the ponds on York road east of Victoria. (Pike, crappie, perch & carp) The Eramosa flows past at the back of the ponds. (Bass & pike) and there is lots of access to the Eramosa between victoria and downtown. All within a walk or bike ride from the U of G.

All the fish i catch are released btw , besides i won't be able to keep them in my frig at uni lol, and thnx for the info Musky or Specks i appreciate it.

Also, if I'm guessing you don't have wheels, you can take the bus across town and walk to Guelph lake from there. It might be sort of cheating, but you can access the lake several places without paying at the main gate...PM me if you want directions.
