Dondorfish Posted August 23, 2007 Report Posted August 23, 2007 On the north end - there is a public (free) launch right in the town of Buckhorn - just down from the lock. On the south end, there is a public launch on Chemong Lake - at the causeway - just south of where Chemong and Buckhorn join. Hope this helps Don

Dondorfish Posted August 23, 2007 Report Posted August 23, 2007 No prob! The one on the north end is kinda rough, but the one on Chemong is real nice - with lots of free parking. Don
Blake Posted August 23, 2007 Report Posted August 23, 2007 Yes the causeway launch is better and easier for the launch and parking.
bigbuck Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 I know I'm late on this but I'd have to say that the free launch up in Buckhorn is kinda nasty looking. If you have a beater tinny I wouldn't worry but if it's a nice boat, don't bother. At the yacht club, there is a nice launch but it'll set ya back I think 10bucks.
Randy Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 There's one at the end of Six Foot Bay Road, right beside Scotsman Point Resort.
Guest Johnny Bass Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 Thanks guys. Decided to go to Lower Buck. Wanna pound Upper buck when it is sunny and work the slop for largies! I hear it has alot of them!
