  1. woodenboater is correct. that price is MORE THAN FAIR at the asking price. don't be surprised if your advertising on here garnered some interest. many merc and omc users on this board looking to upgrade to a yammy.
  2. the seller is correct. the carb outboard doesn't show hours. my first yamaha was a 1998 carb (50hp four stroke). I had it for 10 years of pure abuse before she waved the white flag. I immediately replaced her with a 2008 efi yamaha (60hp four stroke), and it has been smooth sailing ever since. In 2018 I'll likely replace the one I have now, for another. All the while the 1998 Lund Pro Guide keeps kicking.
  3. Jokinen still has some skills. he played very well for Finland during the last Olympics.
  4. I would send clarkson down and say see ya in a few years. enjoy the bus.
  5. i was at the hamilton bulldogs toronto marlies game last Friday. the marlies won. they are a good team. i'd like to see the hamilton kid, Abbott get the call up.
  6. ok, i'll let you know. but i'm very sure when its time to let you know, you'll already have hopped back on the bandwagon.
  7. why? is what when you'll watch again? what is the purpose of letting you know?
  8. no doubt. I agree that the montreal big four would be much better.
  9. keep an eye on the used forums. a couple friends of mine who are big into kayak fishing, and have been before the "boom" have said a number of folks bought them, loaded them up, and didn't like the fad. as such, lots of good used options on the market right now.
  10. Finns play differently. Teemu is just one example. Finns often play strong until they are 40. He could play as a role model for the youngsters over the next few years.
  11. i'm clearly biased, as I'm Finn background, but $2.5M isn't too bad for what Olli "can" do.
  12. gotcha. now that capgeek is down, where else are folks getting their player salary info from? what is Olli's salary? few mill?
  13. why not? did they just grab him to trade? i know Olli is older, at 36 I believe.
  14. Olli Jokinen back with Leo. I likey!
  15. riplin redfin. colour doesn't matter.
  16. that you for that long winded response. It was very well done and greatly appreciated. And I also agree to stand united. I will never ever shoot an animal. But I will not look down at another who does.
  17. i agree with everything you wrote Doug. What you outline is the reason I fish. But, my uncle often takes guided hunts in which they "bait" animals....sometimes going as far as watching individual animals on trail cams to the point they name them and pre plan when they are going to shoot the animal. That kinda goes against your theory. Do you take guided hunts and do you bait?
  18. sure does
  19. my uncle hunts moose. the amount of money he has tied up in his hunting toys could buy his family meat until his kids have their own grand kids. let's face it. folks hunt for the sport of hunting. the resulting food is a bonus. and there isn't a single thing wrong with that. edit: spelling.
  20. I've heard good things about the "I" as well. The "E" was a good one. The "G" was a failure. The "D" was the best one to date. The old "B" Super Free was quite good as well....retro Curado, lol.
  21. edit: nevermind. lower 48 only. (it was for a virtually brand new Curado 201E for $130)
  22. You mean the "G". The "E" is still getting better reviews than the "I".
  23. well, scratching Clarkson Saturday night was a good start.
  24. The Pflueger President and Patriarch are a tackle retailers dream. they are light and smooth in the shop. and most anglers who buy them don't use them very much. those that do fish a lot, like mike, quickly see the quality issues.
  25. read above. 4000 sized reel if your going spinning. the rod mike mentioned is a baitcaster. if you go that route, get yourself a curado 300 sized reel or similar. jigging spoon. 1 ounce or bigger.
