  1. Are you serious about streamers and walleyes? I was thinking about taking my fly rod with me?
  2. Lol Roy. Did u check out my noat's hull reg #'s.
  3. Lol. Okay thx gents. Rice it is then. I am planning to be on the lake the entire day but I think it goes without saying that dusk and dawn are probably my best bet.
  4. Apologies for the typo in the subject line.
  5. Hey gang, Wanted to take the boat out for the first time this year for some walleye fishing. Those of you who have already done so which lakes did you have more success with Scugog, Rice or Balsam? Historically I have been skunked by Balsam many times. Thx, M
  6. Your report put me back at AP with a sense of longing. Nice read, great report, beautiful pictures. And of course, those were some beautiful fish there my friend. Like the other fellow said, love AP reports! Glad you guys made home safe. Miro
  7. Holy crap ... looks like a spaceship .. District 9. Gotta love mother nature.
  8. I got curious ... here is that number and that number in the back of the boat ... guess its not the hull registration number
  9. Yes, I ran it today for about 5 minutes and all the smoke disappeared.... thanks. Was gonna take it out for a ride on Lake O but apparently I can't locate the plug that I took out. So need to pay a vist to the mechanic nonetheless... bummer.
  10. Okay - now I remember this is the first boat I ever bought. When I first got it, my younger brother wanted to remove all the stickers and put some new fancy colored ones. He started peeling that serial number on the one side of the hull but that's when I pointed out to him that its probably not a good idea. Long story short, I have the number on one side of the boat and not the other. But there are some other numbers engraved in the back of the boat next to the transom. Not sure what those are. If I remember it, I will take some pics and post here. Ciao Miro PS: thx for the heads up ... you think I'll get a ticket for it if its missing on one side?
  11. Awesome, 3 similar answers... Fogging oil it is, i'll burn it off tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have good weather this coming weekend. Miro
  12. Time to give some attention to local lakes and Walleye fishing. Got the boat out, cleaned it, put the water muffs on, made sure all pipes are connected, and gave it a start, it started but then some smoke started coming out. Thinking I'll show it to my mechanic tomorrow but wondering if this is normal. I did have it winterized last fall. It has a 2-stroke 1986 70 HP Evinrude on it. What do you think?
  13. How come the Brookie has such vibrant colors this time of the year? Isn't that supposed to happen in the fall? I am looking at the marked white lines around the reddish fins.
  14. You're hooked on the fly, my friend. Good for you. Fly fishing is probably the only type of fishing where despite not having caught anything or having caught little ones, you can still come out satisfied from the trip. Good point Brad made, your casting skills will only refine. I was deterred by the heavy rainfall the past few days and didn't hit any streams this weekend. i will catch up soon. Miro
  15. You got it Harrold. In time we shall hit AP again.
  16. Thanks Mike ... learning from the pros
  17. Good stuff Mike. Was waiting for you anticipated report. Nice attempt at the video too, loved the soundtrack. And did you say "4 feet at the shoulders?" Do they really grow that big? Miro
  18. Lol, I know Harold. That's why I said it was the toughest 1.5k uphill portage of my life. I was even carrying those propane tanks that you buy at crappy tire and a four person tent. Can't buy everything all at once But all worth it. Miro
  19. It's a gem my friend. Once discovered, never forgotten.
  20. Wow .. I never knew that. Thanks bud. Good to know.
  21. What dark line?
  22. Good memories there bud ... I have a few such myself with girls I met there and beaching in the middle of the nights. Sweet times. Most of mine were from Kearney campground, that was the spot for the younger crowds. Believe it or not I had the occasion or two to get to know the female wardens pretty well too.... lol.
  23. Quite an accomplishment ... Nice pics too.... Must be an SLR.
  24. I read it too bud. Sweet fish and a nice read, you do tend to yak a tad bit . Kidding, good read man. I have been wondering about Temagami ever since Musky or Specks mentioned it to me last fall. Have fun bro
