  1. South river resort. Was worried about it being on the river, but huts are on the lake
  2. Well, just booked Feb 18,19,20, and 21 at south river resort on nipissing. Couldn't beat the price at 140$ per person for the 4 days including dozen minnows each a day. Anyone else around during that time?
  3. Has anyone been to these Ice bungalows? What's your opinion? Great price at 140 midweek for 3 nights, 4 days. Hope someone can help as I've always stayed with idle Tyme or bear creek.
  4. I have a fender g-dec. They come in 15 watt and 30 and sound amazing. I play an ibanez electric. It has built in drum beats, tones, and affects. Save you from buying a pedal and you can start a one man band. Best buy for your buck. Hey, Just wondering if anyone can't point to a good deal on an amp, ideally I woul dlike somethign that will sound as good hooked up clean to an EA as well as an electric. Was thinking about amid to late 90's Fender but I want to try and keep the price down... If anyone has a good one and is looking to trade on some stuff let me know as well. For now just looking for opinions on what can be had that will offer some decent distortion as well as decent clean sound for say under or around 300 bucks. Peak output is not a concern and will likely never be taken out of the condo. Perhaps something with a headphone jack would be good as well.
  5. My favorite day on the Bronte was watching an old man standing on a 10 foot river bank with a downrigging combo and treble hook jigging like every pull was setting the hook on a 6 pound large mouth.
  6. I think I did the intro when I joined a few years back, but I'll give it a shot again. My name is Dave from Midland, On. Born and raised in Thornbury and really miss bushwacking that river everyday. I have a wife, 2 daughters, (2 and 5 months). I am lucky to have a wife who enjoys fishing when there are no bugs and a 2 year old that knows every species of fish, a true fanatic! I sold my boat last year as I needed to lay new floors in my house, so I'm back to walking streams again or fishing at the dock with the family. Can't wait for hardwater. If anyone is ever up for a day of fishing, drop me a PM. Nice to meet everyone!
  7. That made me sweat watching that! Good thing that moose was wiped
  8. With a 2 year old and a 4 month old, I'm pretty much pooched! I get the odd cast from the couch with a toy rod landing the odd jelly fish and big shark!
  9. There's anglers that would still throw that in their bucket and boil it up for dinner!
  10. Caught a 25lb Muskie 2 years ago from shore
  11. Were you fishing the falls in thornbury? Or mouth? Glad they are making their way in. Born and raised in thornbury, moved at 18. Miss the fishing everyday!
  12. Last night my 2 year old yelled " daddy help. Her bobber and worm were gone way under. Her pink glow in the dark princess pole bent in half and we were Able to pull the slime to the dock. It was 5-6 lbs, but no picture as the 4 lb test snapped when I was trying to land it. Best laugh ever!!
  13. Last pond I took the kids too almost broke the bank. Of course a 5 lb'er took the first cast! Good luck and bring lots of money
  14. We also did hammer and nail competition. Players go head to head to see who can drive a 3 1/2 inch nail into a log in the fastest. Most wins at the end if the night wins a priZe. Good for the typical male ego!
  15. We filled a wheel barrow full of booze, donations from family liquer cabinets alwas help. Raffle that off, guarenteed money maker! Minnow races always a hit too

  17. If it wasn't a problem, then there wouldn't be legislation. They won't be kicking my door in though for my black lab. It's not just the owners, it's in their DNA.
  18. Sliced lemon, basil, sea salt and pepper
  19. You can follow the beaver for miles. There are many good holes with a chance for resident rainbow and brown trout. If you can find a good map you can find all your access points all the way from Georgian bay to Heathcote to Kimberly. Bass have slowed as water levels have dropped. Good luck
  20. It doesn't matter what rid you get her, you'll be using it the most pulling it out of trees, rocks, baiting it.or she won't use it at all due to horseflies. Go through it every time. Good luck!
  21. I have a 2009 dodge journey, same breaking system as caravan. Feels like boat is going to come through back window as break system is poorly designed for towing. Wouldn't suggest if your caravan is a 2009
