  1. http://www.georgencharters.com/boatand_rates/index.html I have never used this company, but have seen them around. There are also charters on north end of Lake Simcoe that might be worth while. (happy go lucky fishing)
  2. Wayne and Leah, I felt honoured to be part of Jen's story. Though I didn't know her personally, reading the countless stories, watching her YouTube videos and hearing about her highs and lows truly makes you appreciate the person she was and how many lives she touched along her journey. In the days, weeks and years to come just remember how hard she fought and how much of an inspiration she was to so many. We are all here for you and your family. Dave
  3. Sea Trout caught in Sackville River, Nova Scotia.
  4. Been to Cayo Coco, Cayo Guilermo many times. I always pack 20-25 test trilene and lots of leaders. Bring spreaders and good long pliers as everything has teeth!!! Bring lots of hooks and sinkers, silver spinners, white and red plugs. I never pack lures anymore as they take up too much room and I never had good luck with them. At your resort, go to the restaurants and ask for a bag of fresh uncooked shrimp, I usually pay $5. If you are close to the causeway, rent a moped or bike and take a day tour. there are so many different species to catch. the one picture is a snapper my wife caught, a cuda grabbed it and left us just the head! Hope you have a blast!
  5. My brother served time in Afghanistan and on departure, hundreds of vehicles were left by the DND as it was cheaper to leave them behind for other forces or just for scrap. I would much rather see these vehicles utilized by Canadian Citizens as they are already paid for and may come in handy one day. What's the big deal if police have access to equipment that not only protects themselves but may protect the public also. It's not like the police will be firing off missiles but honestly if I was in their situation, would I rather be hiding behind a car door or a thick armour plated wall??? Someone said they are intimidating....that's the point!
  6. I stayed in a cheap resort so there was rude French people? only bad experience was the separatists treating staff like crap, pretending not to understand English, but speaking English
  7. Ever travel to Cuba or Dominican? You'll never meet a ruder bunch of travellers! Almost need a Quebec section roped off.
  8. Don't steal the shrimp from the table, they are cooked. Pay someone in the kitchen 5$ they will give you a giant bag of raw shrimp. I have not been to samana but read many reviews on trip advisor about the fishing, I believe there is a fishing pier nearby, along with lots of rocky ledges along the beach, have fun!
  9. Should have had a stinger hook on there!
  10. A bucket of sour key rings while ice fishing nipissing. When the top blew off, my fishfinder marked a hundred sinking rings.
  11. found this on kijiji, check it out, had a good laugh! http://barrie.kijiji.ca/c-pets-accessories-WANTED-TWO-FREE-PERCH-BEFORE-7-OCLOCK-W0QQAdIdZ476864864
  12. If you pier fish, most times the license is included in the day fee, when I was there it was 17 for non res. Check out north and south piers if close to Bradenton/tampa
  13. there's no ice to fish on because they boil it down for coffee.
  14. I can barely walk 10 feet from the bank without spooking them, let alone jumping in and stirring up the water. Great video though
  15. Thanks for all the replies, I am truely proud of my brother and what he does and will pass on all of your messages.
