It's not gone forever. The retail cannibis market hasn't even begun yet so there's lots of room for natural growth. What may be gone is the sudden increases caused by volume demand and not by actual value. It's now an investment market as opposed to a trading market. I'd have ZERO issue buying stock this week at a corrected value with a long position.

I thought last nights game was great. I couldn't be happier for the two young defensemen, Derrmott and Holl, for getting their first NHL goals or the Dads watching. And I couldn't be happier for Leaf fans know this Dermott kid is an up and coming in the league. He's a Newmarket boy that was a Leaf fan growing up...nice. Lots of speed and lots of goals last night! I wonder if Tavaras was thinking if you can't beat them, join them? lol

I hope Sail drops a location across the street from every BPS and Cabelas in Canada. Having some competition up here is a very good thing.

I don't see where anyone is giving him a hard time. What I see is people offering up financial advice based on experience. An alternative way of thinking only gives him more options. Oh, and in my case, you'd lose your bet, badly. Bloomberg's Financial tip of the week: Don't take financial advice from a guy that says things like " Buy the boat dude... who cares!" lmao

TFSA's are an account and have nothing to do with risk. In fact, my highest risk investments are inside a TFSA but that's by choice.

Stop limits are great you just have to make sure you allow for normal "noise" in the market or you'll get stopped out. I agree though, they can minimize loss.

It's Dermott that impresses me

If you are currently saving and investing 10% of your gross income without fail and you still have extra money to cover a boat payment plus the extras(increased insurance, etc) then go for it. If not, consider this...that $15k boat will cost you about $19k at 8% over the term of the loan. If you start putting the $250 month away now, in 5 years at 6% you'll have $17.5K cash. My opinion? Don't borrow money for toys unless everything else, including your mortgage, is paid for and it's above and beyond a savings schedule.
