2019-2020 Hockey Thread

Ark, not cool. Unless you have some proof that can substantiate your accusation, you've got no business posting that. I don't know Matt personally, but a he doesn't strike me as a guy that needs to hide behind anything. -

Yes, you'd have to be have some real issues to join a fishing forum for the sole purpose of being an antagonist. Hey Art, you see the banter go back and forth with all the usual suspects and 99% of us are still here for the fishing. We all contribute across the board on multiple subjects and though we take jabs at each other in the hockey thread, it does not extend beyond it. Meaning, it's really all in good fun. BUT, when someone joins a fishing forum with the sole purpose of causing trouble, I see that as a problem. Username, all posts, and content is directed 100% at being an idiot with no other contribution to the site. So, with all due respect, this is so obvious that when it goes off the rails, and it will, the admin team can take ownership of it. I just hope it's not one of the valued regulars that gets the boot because they're fed up with this joker. -
Depends on the boats construction. If glass, go to the back for sure. Aluminum boats are too light in the bow in many cases so adding 75 lbs to the back doesn’t work. Personally, I’d try to move gas up front before batteries.

How crazy is that???? The NHL has a great Winter Classic going with two teams that hate each other, a packed arena and the linesmen jump in immediately to break up the fight!!?? Even Bettman would have been screaming let them go!!!!
-
I'm watching the classic as well. When I turned the game on I was trying to figure out if it was being held in Nashville or Dallas. Then they showed pig races!! Oddly, that didn't help narrow it down.
-
It's a rerun...game originally aired Dec 26

Bingo

By “fans” you mean Matt and yourself right? Or did 80% of the fan base bail after the team imploded?? Ottawa fans are fly by night fair weather supporters. Empty seats don’t lie! Just telling the truth...

Celebrating 3 losses in 10 years makes you a liberal!! 😂 Medals for everyone!!!

The kid that didn't take his helmet off is either going to university or wants to be an electrician. LOL I guess you saw all the comments except the apology for the hijack.
-
Sorry for the hijack Brian. 🤐

Go back read the posts...this started when it was insinuated young people today don't work hard. Things are very different in today's world including rate of pay, student debt and housing is all I'm saying. Nothing about complaining of debt. If a kid is smart enough and wants to be a professional, they should..period. My parents pushed me to get a trade; so I did. I smartened up 30 years later and graduated university VERY late in life. Personally, I wouldn't climb a damn hydro pole for $100K but again, everyone is different.
-
Precisely why you suggesting kids should just go get a "real job" in a trade like your buddy's kid did makes zero sense. Everyone can't be, or wants to be a lineman.
-
And next time you need a dentist, lawyer, doctor, anything related to business, you should call an electrician.
-
Oh come on! LOL Don't be that older generation guy that paints all the young kids with the same brush. There are LOTS of kids working themselves through school today. And they're doing to cover the basic living expenses while racking up huge student debt. Plus they don't have jobs at the union steel plant to look forward to or the opportunity to buy a house under half a mil. Gotta look at the whole picture before we start the "I had to walk 5 miles to school" story. I worked my butt off too but still had time to be a 19 year old on a Saturday night.

Now that would be simply picking and choosing criteria to make the stats look more in our favor...oh, wait...sorry Smitty. I'm sure the players post stupid azz stats like that on their frigs in the off season to make themselves feel better about NOT winning the Cup...BAHAHAHAHA Yeah right. Those stats are made up by insecure fans trying to justify why they cheer on a losing team. Like I always say, there's one cup winner and 30 losers. -

So far no Toyota’s 😂 -
Yeah the kid apologized, it's over. The USA kid told a cameraman to f-off and last year a Swed tossed his metal into the stands. They're a bunch of teenagers in a very emotional setting on a world stage. Now, let's hear how mature and stoic all you guys were at <19 years old! lol

Ford(s)...I've owned two and both were brutal. Windstar and Exploder. Until I read Lew's post about his F150 I still thought the Ford P/U's and the Mustang were the only two Ford's worth owning. I guess that list can be cut in half lol. I used to laugh every time I drove past the Ford plant in Oakville and saw a couple lights out on the big Windstar sign! I wrote customer service an email to tell them they could have the ones on my instrument panel - they're never off!! -
Way to go...now I want a chili dog. 😁

What a great dinner that was! The prime rib roasts turned out really good too. Medium rare and the outside had a nice crispy layer of seasoned fat. It was nice to have everyone together and honestly, that was the best part. Could have eaten hamburgers and been just as happy. Time for a relaxing evening and a scotch on the rocks. 😉

I make prime rib fairly frequently and it’s super tender! That’s too bad you had a bad experience. Fisherman that sounds really good. I’ve already been googling a recipe! Now lamb is something new for me! We never ate it growing up so I never think about it. It’s on my list now to make! I’ll do some homework and give it a try. Thanks for the tip.
