  4. Thanks Terry, tail hooked sounds good.Would you say best on a tip up?,I was thinking jigging in the hut. They are pretty big shiners.I have both systems ready to go.Trying to keep the perch away for a couple outings .In the hut is that what you would use ?. Thanks.
  5. So stay with the 4-5" emerald shiners, how would you hook them and would you weigh them down with a weight a foot or so above them?.were talking deep water.sorry to side track

  15. I had a salmon spool my 100yds of mono on a river a few years back.Only happened once,he was headed south and I had no chance with the drag, and my rod was ready to snap at any time ,a couple times.Always heard of that ,but until you witness it,what a helpless feeling.People watching and saying he's going, going gone. .

  19. Thanks for reading outside the box.I take the words for what I think they read lol..I now see what your saying .Thanks.
  20. Ice anglers on Lake Simcoe are permitted to fish with up to two lines at any one time. Anglers may, for instance, use a tip-up for a stationary fishing presentation in one hole and be jigging in another. Keep in mind, however, that you must remain within 60 metres of any line that you are fishing with and that you need to keep a clear, unobstructed view of your lines at all times Automatically thought the tip up would be outside. The above quote was from the site.I would be wrong then lol. Always fish with two or more persons, thus the tip ups would be outside.
  21. That's what I just read last night for zone 16(Lake Simcoe)Having two poles in your hand at the same time would ahhh just not be right .lol.From what I gathered, one pole ,one tip up?Per person.
  22. On Simcoe it is only allowed one fishing pole per person, and one tip up,clearly visible from 60yards from where you can see it.
  23. I work with one now and then.Already today he's saying there done. Please Toronto,do it for us lol.
  24. It's just funny with all these flashers/graphs.I would think that the manufacturers would give us a unit that would read ,let's say 200'.This would represent IMO most lakes in our area. Ready to go,want to see your lure, fish.what more can a fellow ask for?.Everyone says that with a bit of tweaking one way or another you can do it.Am I asking to much?Just seems way more difficult than it could be .But what do I know lol.
  25. WTG guys!!!!
