Welcome Jitterbug,glad you came aboard.Fishing spots will be a bit tough to get.What type of fish were you looking for?

I have 9 up to date life jackets in my boat.My boat can hold 9 people.A thinner jacket would be way more comfortable.That's all.These jackets were not cheap.About $400 for 9.Hope you understand,I am not superman,and do wear it when warranted.

Sorry meant difference of opinion,that's all.Don't take it to heart sir.Jackets as said are readily available,if needed.I did say we wear them in rough water.I never go out alone.

Sorry Cliff,mine are assigned to everyone on board.All well over 40 years.I have put mine on in really rough weather.Would really like to get one of those inflatable jackets for Christmas if any one is listening.lol.My sidewalls go easily if not higher than your waste.4 people on one side she hardly moves at all. Again real rough water it goes on.

Thanks Rick,we hit bottom a few times,one at 53', 150' back,mine,250' back hit at about 40'.Might just take you up on that offer?.Would love to do a one night, two day fish there.Give us good 12 hour plus days weather permitting of course.

Thanks guys for all the info.If I was to make that one trip down,maybe out of port Credit or Bluffers,What would be our best odds time wise/month/etc.This fall could be a option.?Also not giving to much away,are they closer to shore this time of year,or a few miles out.Thanks again.

I used to do the cottage weekend years ago.Sure missing the two night ,three day getaways.I could only imagine the fun and tales that went on .Thanks for sharing .

Lake Simcoe Lakers.Running 8\30 pp.Running a 7' 15 lb fluro leader.Other than a small perch 3 times ago,not even a release of some sort.Never have seen more fish in that lake as of late.I do know September can be a tough month.Hearing on Sunday,fishing has been tough the last little. While.Too many Herring maybe?,lolm

We have spent hours with a *0 and a 1 Changed up the lures.Between the two we are running 40 to almost 60. The fish are in that area 85% of the time last couple days.Maybe the bite is off,maybe something were doing?.We change speeds,do turns.Not sure what's going on??.Any help would be appreciated!.Thanks again.

If it was table fare,probably no one would blink a eye?,maybe a couple .Fishing and hooking a fish so deep is kinda a different story.Getting a wrong fish on your line and into the boat and clubbing it,then throwing it back in the lake is where the problem lies?

Maybe a day/or 3 later,we had that big storm Friday here.Went out Sunday ,all kinds of fish,no takers.Not my first time there ,but seems their bite was off.Mind you that was a big system that went through on the Friday.Good luck any day you go,I'd pick a day and just go with the less wind.imo.

Only three years and maybe a bit more.My go to spot every time I get a chance.Great members that will help you in a moment.Met some great people here for sure!!!

The only water level I know that is low is Simcoe, At least a foot lower than normal.Maybe there getting ready to unload the water from that end of the system?ridiculously low here.
