  1. The prop is on a steel spline,I don't believe it has spun,if so wouldn't you get a over rev crazy!!!!!!!.Was changed from a 19 to a 17,now thinking 15 pitch would be better all around. The threeguys I had last time averaged about 160lb plus gear. Not counting me:whistling:,but I,m a constant. I also would think if the prop spun she'd rev bad also.?
  2. Way to go,now you know!!!You won't find many river secrets here, and if you find one ,Pm,or keep them to yourself!.Lot's of lurkers.
  3. Other than the smell of rubber, which I don't have. When the coupler spins or worn, would the rpm's go off the chart. My boat is a mercruiser 86 vintage, but she can be arrogant at times. I would think just like revving in neutral if the coupler was gone. Sometimes she hits 3500 out of the hole and other times 3000rpm. At 3000 rpm's you have to work to plane it but when's she's nice, up and out in 10sec's.The difference is2 guys up front to plane and than away she goes with over 4000 rpm's . Pretty good speed for a big boat. What do you think?.
  4. They say it can be different flavors one day to the next.Variety is the spice of life!,sometimes:PGood day for sure!!!!!!!!!
  5. I'd say give the carb to someone to rebuid.,New gas, good fuel hose, coil if necessary.New plugs first if you go this route.Problem should be solved. Too much oil?. Compression used to give me a problem at mid range and full out.How long ago was it run?
  6. I'm with you on the coil, you can't easily swap them to see if a different plug fouls?.At least you'll know more when you talk to him. Just thinking about it a spare coil if that's not the problem ,still not a bad idea.
  7. Also take a close look at the plug wire to the coil. Could be cut or damaged somehow.
  8. Heard that a few times, just going to fish of the dock for a while and BANG,sometimes later in the evening. Really hard to figure them out isn't it?. Good for you!!!.
  9. Need to know all this!,looks like you came to the right place!.
  10. As Victor says "Well l'll be damned".. On at 4:30. lol. I know you watch it!!!!!!!!!!!.
  11. How about some nice chair covers, but before scotch guard them and add a healthy dose of silicone spray. See where that takes you skip!!!!!!!!!!!. I know there in the cabin, but you never know when a side wind/rain get's at it?.
  12. Larry,we don't know when he bought it exactly?, I'd still do a quick coil change if necessary, the problem cyl will be wet. Quick coil swap,no ONE will know the diff except for us .lol.
  13. I'd start with the plug, swap coils if easy enough, than you'll know if you have a greater problem. 2 stroke ,right?.
  14. Really nice fish!!!!,thanks for sharing!.
  15. Heck of a deal Mike!!!,win win for everyone:clapping:

  20. I loose on average two a day at a favorite trib. Often get one or two back. Not the same usually, but hey,not bad.Oh,one day a salmon broke of a top water bait and saw it float down to a corner.Yelled to a couple of guys that's my lure and the guy that got it said it was his. Can you imagine the nerve, but not worth the extra effort if you know what I MEAN!. Mad, understatement. Got over it lol.
