  1. Your on the right track:clapping:
  2. Please don't report good fishing areas. The river get's a pounding enough now as it is. As previously mentioned, trial and error. Do your leg work and you will be rewarded. We all started that way. Good luck!!!Remember the river is long!
  3. Are you saying their $160.00 for the rod?.
  4. Welcome aboard!,and nice PB's. Your going to love us here. Lots of knowledgeable folks to help if needed.Enjoy!!
  5. Mexico and China! plus others.
  6. I agree. How's the free trade working for us lately?:rofl2:.Sorry couldn't resist.
  7. Art I was waiting for your weigh in. This has been going on for years. I always seemed to dodge the bullet. This time the industry is being run from the states. The biggest players are all american. I can name more than a few. Some have just set up warehouses to store ink here and be delivered when needed. All ink comes by tanker and or truck, manufactured south of here.I will survive, new direction is where I'm going. I always thought that there was a law that no one could have a monopoly? I guess it included out of country companies as well.
  8. And that is one of the only lumber stores I use.The other home hardware.
  9. Maybe, but seems to be a dying market.Time to check out other options.
  10. This year alone three companies I work for were bought out and moved to the states. Another two are in the process of being bought out. What that means, yet to know. What was a great industry(ink) Seems to be heading south. How many more companies will we let outsiders buy?. Things are getting worse imo. My rant for the day.Thanks.:(Needed to blow off a little steam.
  11. Do contracts for players mean NOTHING anymore?. Little bit not sure of the proposed agreement. A fellow member said it was the players taking a cut. Enlighten me if you can.lol.
  12. Good point!,the lures can cost as much or more than the line.
  13. I can only dream of a day like that.Way to go guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Need to pick up some 6lb fluro for my river fishing. Will be my first time using it. Do you think 100lb is a little heavy for musky?. Does diameter play into their sight?
  15. I may, every weekend I fish for pike and bass. Never use a leader just 8/30 pp with a swivel clasp and out of approximately 35 pike, haven't lost one spinner bait or lure. Luck probably. Musky on the other hand a little more toothy. That's why I suggested a leader. Fluro? maybe. NP.
  16. Obviously you no more than me, just my honest 2 cents worth:)
  17. No reason, not that familiar with it.
  18. That's the new way of thinking. Still many catch them by accident, and I'm sure they would survive with proper release care!
  19. Yes!!,it is possible. still like the steel leader,Sinclair why not?
  20. I'm thinking,a 12" steel leader and use your drag.Don't fight it hard. You'll get it in. Many people have fished for bass with less than you have, and still brought it in.Patience is what you'll need. Good luck. Oh by the way my late grandma on deer lake caught a 45" musky on 8lb mono years ago with a spin cast reel. Not recommended ,but she got it in with a little help.
  21. We had that every few years growing up on Georgina beach north of Wasaga. We called them shiners, not what your posting. Must of been some contamination of some sort. Lake front property owners in our case were to clean them up. Yours,I have no idea. Pretty sad if they are hiding something.
  22. I watch both!,best of both worlds. Love Saturday hockey, just me!
  23. Another piece of heaven!!!!,great holiday I'm sure. Thanks for the report!
  24. Good show Brad, many more to come I'm sure. That stretch of river sure looks sweet:clapping:
