I know wolves can be intimidating ,have seen them very close years ago camping. I always heard there has never been a documented account of a wolf attacking a human. Anyone know any different?. That's good to know.I have never found a lubricant for cables that show signs of seizing in severe conditions. Temporary,yes.Usually just replace and good to go for many years.

WD 40 is your best bet,but this will probably continue to happen. I had to change a cable 3 years ago because of that. If memory serves me right,their not to expensive either.

Picked one up.While reading the small manual it mentions using a bobber. Is this necessary?,Wondering how that would work jigging with the wind.

There's a couple of die hard steel headers on a river near me that are in their 60's that fish the ice above the fast current ALL winter,both tied to trees. The ice can range from 1'-1" with no warning. Their advice,not for the younger man and always fish with a buddy. Imagine?lol.
