  1. I have the micro swivels, which we'll use for the fluro connection. Some more discussion is needed on the snap swivel(which I believe to be ok)or tie directly to the bad boyz for instance. The snap swivel makes it so easy to change it up to a jig head or whatever.
  2. Looks like fluro for the leader, now would you tie your line directly to the spoon/bait?,or would a small snap swivel be enough?
  3. I'll take his fish,but not his 6' of ice .
  4. Same hardware I take it would be good for whitefish as well?Really hoping for one or the other in no particular order.lol.
  5. Some of the lakers the guys are showing,I would of thought something a lot heavier fluro would be needed.?
  6. What pound Fluoro would you recommend?.I use the micro swivels for steel heading as well. Not afraid of a back to back uni knot as well
  7. I know this has been talked about somewhat. All my reels are spooled with 8/30 pp.My question is,should you use a leader of some sort? Maybe mono, fluro etc. What would you recommend? We'll have bad boyz or equivalent, jig heads, minnows, salted tails of different colors etc.At that depth(100'plus)is braid good enough? Kind of want to put ourselves in the best odds of catching a fish or two. Thanks in advance.
  8. Very Nice!!,good going!
  9. Well there you go! .Glad it worked out for you.
  10. I agree but being handy saved me so much money over the years. This is not hard, just take a visual check of the terminals, are they clean?could be a miss or hit situation. Is the ground or positive loose?
  11. A buddy,Tounament fisher,Last Sunday had a 4'plus muskie figure 8 him for a minute or so and just turned down.He has had several over the last 5 years grab or circle his figure 8.There are some veterans still in there and they do come around every now and than."told me his secret lol"The last few years of stocking,I believe can't be bad.Any additional stocking won't hurt as well!! All for it!!
  12. Check your terminals, sounds like a bad connection on your battery or starter.Something when you start it is drawing power from your battery, causing the lights to dim'
  13. All I know is I have to make the effort to find them myself.I'm sure they will be running in the next month or three .lol.
  14. That's bad!!,I live in Barrie with two 500watt bulbs shining on my boat on sensors, and I still won't put anything of value in till the ,morning. The high powered lights only work if my neighbours or myself our up to catch them.Hope you can get them back.It takes me 20mins before I leave to get the boat ready.I declined the in house alarm in favour of Doberman and Cane Corso, but they sleep better than I do .Heaven forbid someone wakes them up lol.
  15. And to think a lot of us drive north two plus hours each weekend to fish, when there is a fishery like that in our own back yard.Wow,looks like fun!!!!!!
  16. I'd say, whether there herring, whities or lakers.I hope they are a little more cooperative this coming Sat. Will be my first outing this year!! Still looks like a lot of fun guys! .

  20. A good trolling motor will more than save a one time fix of your motor.I've done that .If off the beaten path a must by the sound of it.Good luck!
  21. We had this game and let it get away AGAIN! .
  22. Brian they will allow a tuperware container/cooler with air pump from what I've heard.Something like you would use for your fish tank at home.
