That is undeniable. Social media etc are forming thoughts/opinions at an age never seen before. Schools are teaching things we never seen before. Good or bad? No idea. I personally dont like it. Thats why we spend our time cooking, out in nature, fishing, beading etc. I hate to say it, but when my grandmothers passed, the whole family dynamic changed. We try to be more "traditional", but things still creep in and we debate. Thats a great thing to do with your family. For better or for worse, we as parents can only do our best to educate our children before they embark on their own paths. Im 35 and almost grey already. Its stressful. But I love my family and thats all you can really do. Educate, put your foot down when needed, show alot of love and compassion, support their goals and desires, and just hope at the end of the day they still love you lol. Being a parent is a blessing and a curse. It will show you the best and worst in yourself. Try you at every corner, make you cry, make you proud, make you question everything. It'll drive you crazy... I never wanted kids, now I have 6. The first changed my mind drastically. I wouldnt change it for anything. One day when I pass, id be happy just to know my kids said" he was a loving and supportive dad"

So you were subject to all the searches as well? I never seen anything like that before

I realize that. I reached out via pm as well. You know, be friendly. Some people mean no ill will, just ask an honest question. Sometimes its just good people with a lack of understanding. Ill take it that way till im proven wrong

Research it and open your eyes. Most monies owed to aboriginal peoples is through treaties signed by your majesty, the queen of england. Contrary to popular belief "natives" are not paid with your tax dollars as many ignorantly believe. Aboriginals are not any more entitled then anyone else, but they pursue what is legally owed to then by binding contract. Many have mental health issues and substance abuse issues from the colonization and being forced into residential schools to "kill the indian in the child". Do a little research. My mother in law was raped and starved off and on by priests and nuns. She was deprived of her parents and culture for 13 years. She was routinely beaten and fed scraps. In a court of law she was awarded 120,000 for her troubles. Sounds nice hey? Not really. She has horrible panic attacks, cant sleep etc. Why? Good question for another topic

Im not joking here, i was supposed to be on that bus and my wife convinced me to stay one more night before my trek to grande prairie. Security was insane when i boarded and i hadnt even heard what happened. Almost felt like i was in a war torn country. Full checks of all baggage at every stop. I arrived in grande prairie and near the bus station read" greyhound, where you beheadin'?" In graffitti Im glad I was not on that bus. I agree, mental illness or not, he should never roam ANYWHERE freely

We have a pretty unique household mike, with 6 kids it can be challenging, especially our 14 year old daughter. I feel for ya but it sounds like this has worked itself out. Oh my times have changed. As a ten year old I didnt even know what a vegetarian was, and if I wanted to be one I probably would have caught a swift hand Thats quite the stance for a ten year old, thats why I was kinda speechless. I wrote out about 10 responses and never posted them lol. Whether shes right or wrong you gotta love her determination!

Because I do not know how I would handle this at all.

? At least we should have the choice to have it deducted. Id rather my cheque be a lil smaller then get dinged with a $2500 bill in between jobs. Silly

If your gonna record someone make sure you have consent, or they at least have knowledge of it. While were on the government topic... Can anyone explain to me why during the 2 times i've been on EI in my 35 years, why you get abssolutely hammered at income tax time? Geez I collected for 8 months if I remember correctly, that year I owed $2600 in income tax???? Or was that just me? Seems silly I pay tonnes of money into benefits but the rare time I collect I get taxed on it????
