If people would drive responsibly then the 4 laners up north would not have been needed. Straightening some bends and reducing some of the grades would have been great! 4 lane highways with county type traffic. Get real! The 4 laners were put in to accommodate the trucking industry and to facilitate the rich cottage owners being able to get to their cottages faster!!!! The real estate value in Northbay and the French is mirroring the Muskokas. Seriously my opinion is thanks for the overwhelming DEBT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think they should make them into toll roads. Let the frequent users pay for the building and maintenance. I fell sorry for the businesses in the small towns.

Marine Fibreglass Repair Sources
zamboniwaterboy replied to thatleetboy's topic in General Discussion
The glass and resin in CTC may be questionable. To paint, buy high quality marine paint at West, Noah, or Composite Canada. Two person paint method - using a mini low fuzz roller, one person roll the paint on, as the second person uses a high quality 3" brush, just touch the paint ever so gently to knock the bubbles off. DO NOT REWORK THE PAINT WITH THE BRUSH! The brush should have next to NO paint on the tips of the bristles! Done properly it will produce a really nice finish. -

If you can bolt through. If not use a good epoxy, mix with some thickening fibres, fill the hole, soak the fastener in WD-40 and slowly turn the fastener into the epoxy filled hole. This will allow you to remove the screw but will be very strong.

We really do need to rally as a nation and get our resources back under the control of the population of Canada! Stop giving it away and screwing ourselves! The government needs to start worrying more about the little guy than the billionaires. Michael

Fresh fish is less fishy. Cook it outside if possible, it is often the smell of it cooking that turns people off. At the spring Fishing Show a guy doing a demonstration said to soak/wash the fish in cold water with a lot of salt, 1-2 tablespoons per 2 cups of water. Let it sit for a few minutes, rub well with your hands, and rinse off. Michael

Here is a link on how to season your cast iron. It should make it as good as non-stick as long as you do not wash it. Just wipe with a damp cloth. Good luck!

What is old is new again. The owner makes it sound like he invented it, maybe refined should be the claim. Just to clarify, I have the huge rooster tail, the loss of bottom echo at high speeds and have adjusted as much as I can within the parameters of the current transducer mount. Anything over 15mph and the bottom is gone. -
Whats the best way to slow my boat down for trolling?
zamboniwaterboy replied to coreyhkh's topic in General Discussion
Have you tried back trolling? I started to use drift socks and they are easier to handle than the pails. I use them on 20' boat 175hp I/0, slow me from 3.5mph to 1.8mph on GPS. -
