  1. Yup, Simon had his own polar bear plunge today. He even got his pink gloves wet. My boots are still drying out. Still had a good time though. Simon caught the trout, I couldn't seem to set a hook today.
  2. Some of my favorites. Probably not available in the south.
  3. No, the gloves are definitely real. I've seen them with my own eyes. Looks like a great day. Love that big laker.
  4. Scorpion sold a pile of sleds back then. It's easy to see why.
  5. Yup. Next time I buy, it'll be an electric.
  6. Late 70s (77 or 78) Deere 440 Cyclone. Nice sled.
  7. I've got tons. Here are just a few.
  8. The sled that most of us old guys started with. The first I ever drove. 1966 Ski Doo Olympique 250. Only 247cc, but she could go through a ton of powder.
  9. Low oil or faulty oil pressure sensor.
  10. My 2007 60HP has been great so far. Living on a lake, I put a lot hours on it and I have no complaints.
  11. The 650 King Kat with the JLO triple is a rare sled. The 800 Quad even more so. Only 124 of them made.
  12. The two best looking sleds Cat ever made. IMO
  13. No, the only light was the one on the left side. The vents in the top of the cowling are for the small rad. The heat exchanger was in the front bumper. As I said , my cousin rode one for a number of years. Extremely fast and probably one of the best riding sleds in it's day. 440 liquid cooled Xenoah engine, came original with an Arctic Cat Hex clutch which everyone soon replace with a Comet 102. Although you can't really see it in this picture, the chrome ski's were hot looking.
  14. Just posted this in the other thread. Great looking classic.
  15. Another classic which looked great and was one of the fastest in it's day. My cousin had one and it was ahead of it's time.
  16. Passport must be out of date. Customs won't let it across.
  17. I think those late 70's early 80's Blizzards were one of the best looking sleds ever made.
  18. It's what the youth of today are demanding. I personally aren't into the higher riding position, but most of younger riders like to pretend their snow cross riders nowadays.
  19. I never tire of seeing that.
  20. This came right from the Jiffy website. What is the correct mixture of oil and gasoline to use for fuel in a Jiffy? The correct ratio for all Jiffy Power Ice Drills is 40 to 1. This means 3.2 oz of Jiffy Two-Cycle Oil is mixed with 1 Gallon of fresh gasoline. If you don't use a 40:1 oil mixture it will void all warranties.
  21. The Engine Guardian System will shut down the motor if it detects a critical engine condition, so it stands to reason that it also could be a faulty sensor. One way or the other the motor either has or thinks it has a low oil pressure situation.
  22. All the Jiffy's I've ever seen, use 40:1. Check your manual.
  23. Canadian Tire here has a better selection, but Walmart is 25 to 30% cheaper on comparable items. I always check Walmart out 1st.
  24. According to my manual, a 6 second continuous beep indicates low oil pressure. Most likely caused by low oil level. Cooling system problem such as low water pressure or engine over heating is 6 seconds of intermittent beeps. So it sounds like an oil pressure problem.
