JOKO how can you say that as a ofah member or even director . the ofah stole the land from simcoe county you must be a member to hunt it . they tried recently to STEAL land (700 acers) from tax payers and have it exclusivlely for ofah members again then they tried it again last year and tried to steal the northumberland county forest the only one that can hunt it could be members, oh your going to say cause of insurance issue well under the land owners liability act the owner is not liable for any legal activity . the ofah is stealing land just like these people that have PAID 100s of thousands of dollars for land to have the right to fish it . i feel that no access be denied to anyone, because hunting and fishing is my right i am waiting for the ofah official response to this so i can shove the whole membership only thing down there throats. they are NO different . Also as of last year one of your current directors of the ofah is in favor of having land cut off because he has a buddie who owns a outfitters on lac souix and thinks it is a great idea

steve we had 100 members in our club they wanted 34 dollars from each one of us to become members.. we asked ian deslure (sp) if we made a donation to the ofah for 3500 dollars if they would give us the memberships ( it was a way of spending money for land for turkey habitat) and he said not a chance they have to keep membership separate . this was a 600 acer parcell of land the ofah wanted . because of 3500 dollars the ofah lost the land . they are still trying to get land . but they want the land to have hydro and a confrence (meeting hall) so something that was to save land for hunters was going to be a members site... oh ya . free land from the government they of course wanted every person to hunt or fish on the land to have memberships.( by the time my letters got up to top levels in the government and found there way back to ofah i was threatend by the director of the ofah in my zone . i won they still dont have the land

I know i hate the ofah .. but what they did to you and your group is basicaly they same as what they tried to do with our nwtf club they wanted us to run a peice of proporty when it was all set to go they said oohh you have to buy a ofah membership if you want in ...the deal fell through THIS has to stop. thanks you for posting your thought... maybe this will open the eyes of both the ofah and other groups

if ron is reading ... he may fill you in (if he wishes ) to a conversation he had with someone from the ofah that said they sat on the commettee for fmz17.. and if i remember correctly ron did not see them at one meeting ? ofah lies to promote there junk..

have you ever been to a ofah zone meeting ???? i have .. if you ask a question they say it does not concern me.... when they tell me they are getting .52 cents a km to drive to these meetings and complain it is no enough money that there trucks burn more fuel than that. thats a 104 dollars to drive to port hope from toronto for a meeting . if you cant fuel your truck for that there is something wrong .. when they had paying jobs to people and pay them cash and tell them to file there own t4 slips .. when i made a suggestion for them to file t4a forms they said not a chance... it goes on and on ..

here is something that happend a while ago...you be the judge.... i say they let them off ... they should have lost there charity right then and there

and the ofah sits on it .. if there are over 2 million hunter and fishermen in ontario why do they only have 100 000 members .. why .. because they force you to have insurance they your not even entitled to have the policy . been through the insurance thing with the ofah .. if you want to ask questions on your policy get a lawyer to notorize each question and mail them in seprately ... (cost of that is way to much .)

i have tried that roy. and if it does not profit them they dont want it .. for instance this case is not fishing but hunting . the northumberland county forest was doing update on activities to be held on the land . one mayor ask the ofah to attend . the ofah said they would participate and there suggestion was that ever hunter have a ofah membership to hunt there . the commitee voted that down . then at the end the mayors of the county asked for a meeting and the ofah said they would be there , You guessed it no one showed . the mayor said if ofah could not show up than hunting must not be a big deal and we lost hunting in certain areas. The mayor had emails from the ofah saying they would come . when they did not i asked why and they said they did not know about the meeting . when the documents were presented they said oh that meeting and said there was a family emergency . i could see that but not one other person could not show..... this is just one of many situations i have been involved with .

when ofah has a pay out of over 2 million dollars in employees and one person there makes between 166 000 -199 999 and there office expensis are almost 1.1 millon they dont care about fishing or hunting just lining there pockets

Ron do you remember about 5 years ago you said i was not allowed to go ice fishing ever again .... well i am thinking about it unless you drop some of those perch you have been catching .... i know you have been catching them cause your nowhere to be found. if you force me i will go ice fishing and you know what that means.... once again the ofah takes credit for something that had very little to do with . it was the rocky mountain elk foundation that did most of the work and roumour has it gave up as the politics of mnr and the ofah was to much for them . the elk foundation put our over 300 000 dollars for the transfer of the elk and that was just money not including hundreds of man hours

i just came back from virginia and it is a snap to do .. go to the store and buy licence 36 bucks for a year of freshwater fishing... if you loose your lic . you go on line and print a new one .. and ever deer turkey or bear that is shot is checked in via the phone or a check station . they know how many deer were shot and in what county ... there system is far far supioror than ours

there is no such thing as boxing day in the states.. only in canada i dont even thing the 26 is a holiday down there i know i leave for virginia on the 25 for some hunting and some stripper fishing ..

i have found a rod that i would like to get my 13 year old for christmas he is a avid fisherman and i have been out of trout fishing for some time now .. i have found a okuma aventa float fishing rod for him it is 13.6 3 pc ulfr or 13.6 3pc ulff. i have found it for 89 dollars us funds.. is that a good price as well or can it be found cheaper .. thanks

i have a bad back i fractured 3 vertabre and have 2 perferated disc and a buldged disc. i have 2 crushed nervers to my left leg. that said there is a differnce between muscle pain and nerv pain . perks will not work they just make you fuzzy if you want something that works for long term pain is a med called topomax it is a pill that is use at regular strength for epeleptics . it works wonders perscribed by a painspecialist for off lable . i know it has helped me big time

the only way to tell is call the enforcement supervisor in the area you will be hunting and ask him.... each area interprates the laws differnentyl ...

the river is closed as of sept 30 . it is only open south of the railroad trax and these fish are chinook some coho and browns and even some rainbows.. but mostly salmon
