I want to be set up on some hard water this weekend. Hub over head,heater going, the smell of a nice smoked sausage cooking on the grill,listening to some good tunes, and the sound of line peeling. Is this too much to ask ?

Well that was a great two days straight .. on GBay.. draggin big baits at 4+ MPH with my buddy Andy. Boat ran flawless after 13 months in dry dock and we were humbled and reminded as to why they call if FISHING. Not a single rip...

Visit to the eye specialist was great. Had an orbital scan. The eye is still good, laser work has done it,s job and I was able to read 2 lines more then last time. The floater thing I have will be there for life,but other then that, it,s good to see.

Met a DFO fisheries officer today who has facial hair. Simon, you know why this just ruined my day.

FINALLY caught a rainbow trout! Four of them, in fact. And my brother caught three himself, and lost one. Good day on the water!

When I say "I'm leaving exactly at 5pm, if not before" it doesn't mean "let me know at 5:05 that you're about to eat supper, and then take 25 more minutes to do so.
