  1. Very good vid of "famous Jack",both my boys grew up around the lake, the very best place to grow up,IMHO.
  2. Simon,is the "goon" all ice free now? I took these pics just minutes ago from my deck,it will be a couple days yet before I can do some trout soaking. The ice is doing a job on my allready broken dock, but it is on the list for this year along with a new deck at the lake.

    OFN

I came across OFC a little over a year ago,& I must say this is 1 of the most friendly & civil forums on the net.I don't post alot but check in at least once a day. I envy the fact that several of you have the chance to get together face to face on your get togethers. I actually met Simon(limeyangler) last weekend at the local CTC store.I recognised him & Jack from some of the excellent vids he has posted.I asked Jack if he knew he was famous. I feel I know some of the members here & would be proud to call them friends.
  4. I have been to Cabelas in WPG several times & I have also been in their stores stateside as well as BPS stores south of the border. There is abolutely no comparison between the Wpg store & the American stores. Relax guys you have lost nothing by not getting a Cabelas in the GTA,you would find it dissapointing for sure.
  5. I agree with you about the weather this past 2 wks,now everything is crusted over so hard there is no lube for sliders on the sleds, you need a quad for sure,OR you could get 1 of these to pull your little guy & your stuff. http://i631.photobucket.com/albums/uu35/BlLake
  6. Becoming part of my morning ritual.Right after pouring coffee.
  7. added another 1 this am
  8. Todays vote has been cast
  9. Done 4 today,I wish her luck.
  10. I have a 10ft jon that I use my elec troller on,my battery is a Group 27 deep cycle. It is heavy but weight has not been an issue in the boat.I think weight is "the nature of the beast" when it comes to deep cycle batteries. I also haul this battery to my boat cache,I built a wooden box that holds it secure on the rack of my quad. The battery lasts all day,but I allways top up the charge when I get home. I think you will find a lighter battery may not last as long.
  11. I have found the best method to prime a pump is with a good suction pump, such as a guzzler. My last lake house had a deepwell pump with 2 lines,it doesn't take very much air to screw up the priming process. The suction pump primes your system rite from your well, when you get only water out the discharge you are good to go.
  12. This is cool
  13. There are lots of resorts in this area,Lac Seul is very good fishing. Here is a link to most lodges in NWO http://www.ontariossunsetcountry.ca/accom.cfm
  14. I am not a religious man, however, IMHO,a newborn child is a refresher course on God. Congrats
  15. CONGRATS! WELCOME to some of the best years of your life
  16. Get well soon. DO NOT let them give you a suppository, you may as well shove 1 up your butt for all the good it will do ya
  17. Sorry,I can't help with your search that close to The GTA,but just by comparison,My parents have a 4 season lakeside home,3 br,fully finished basement, big garage, fully landscaped lot,new septic etc etc.Asking price $219,000. I guess living in NWO has some advantages.
  18. Is this the Rithter Lk you spreak of? If so is it flyin only? http://travelingluck.com/North%20America/Canada/Ontario/_6122118_Richter%20Lake.html#local_map
  19. Most of the lakes in question here are reserved for fly-in outfitters, the tourists stay for days, limiting out each day, eating their catch so they can go out & do it again the next day & take a limit home when they leave. The locals mostly go in 1 day at a time, they should have that right. These lake are on crown land & should be accessable to all. I have several lakes that I access by atv, they are far from fished out. You cannot compare these lakes with any in the heavily populated areas in southern Ont.
