A friend had major problems due to damage from beavers. Oddly enough he got a new pet dog from the pound for his famly and the beavers dissapeared. The dog was a Jack Russel. They just left when she arrived, never to return..Just an idea

IMO 40lbs isint enough for that large of a boat..I just went thru this on the weekend..Does that transom mount motor come with a foot pedal? Do any transom mounts come with a foot pedal for that matter?

Thanks Drifter.I like the idea of a removable floor.How do they work when the water gets in there from a night rain?Does it get trapped?I would imagine the ribs would carry the water to the back where I have installed a small builge pump..This is an exellent thread..Want to give thanks to the OP for it.Its better to have it all in one thread..Id like to see some more pice of peoples aluminum boat setups.Thats if thier willing to share? Ok im going to chime in here in an effort on not starting another thread.The rocker gaurd would go outside I imagine. But back the wood floor..How do we do this cause im doing the same to a 14.5 springbok. Pickedup a minn kota powerdrive v2 and a humminbird 550 fish finder.I want to carpet and put a wood floor in the boat.Any ideas on how to do the floor? The lower the better as this is a shallow boat to begin with..Keep in ming we have to go light too. Thanks

Ok so i sold my dirtbike last night! Who Hoo! Im want to spend the $ on my boat. I have a 14.5 smokercraft and am going to do the usual stuff to it.seats, lights, deep cycle battery, fish finder and a trolling motor. What do you guys recomend for a trooling motor and what do you guys recomend as far as a fishfinder goes? Also What is the best deep cycle marine battery I can get for my $$.All i have now is the boat with an evenrude 9.9 4 stroke in mint shape. I am thinking a bow mount trolling motor with some sort of controls for the tiller area.Is there such a thing? Thanks to everyone in advance for any help! Also where do i mount the motor? There is no casting platform on this boat.Is there such a motor that clamps on the side of the boat or will I have to attach somthing on the front of the boat to mount it?..Excuse the mess here im a newby when it comes to this..My first real boat here..lol
