awesome Report! Gotta love this stuff....One question thou..Im fairly new at the fishing..Well actually not completely new but why do you call them "jack fish"? are they not Pike? Hopefully not another stupid question...LOL

You will catch fish! we went for a weekend last year.Huts are spotless well put together. The keep the outhouse on the ice heated and light all night long.I have had nothing but good experiences with them. The one sat aft we were there we werent getting any hits at all. We asked him to drill us some holes outside the hut. He did one better. He moved us to his personal hut for the afternoon..Caught a ton of fish..He will actually come in and sit n have a beer with ya's.. Even have tv.s so you wont miss the Leafs game...LOL So in short they do a good service and do an exellent job at making sure you want to come back..Have fun and say hi from Ron

Im not 100% sure there is just one reason I ice fish..I dont like the cold all that much but I love to fish. I have been several times now and only have had one good day out there. we went to Calendar Bay , to one of the resorts last year. We stayed out on the lake in a "ice condo" What a trip. Accomidations were amazing with everything we needed and a tv to watch the leafs game! The bite was lousy. No fish to be had. Still had an amazing time.Met a ton of good folk out in ice city (or so we called it that).So i guess its the people the fish and the overall experience that brings me out on the ice!..

im a newbie here..Never heard of it either untill I stumbled upon it, on the ontario fishing fourm site. This is THE site for fishing and fishing related info IMO anyway. Awesome site! Now if I could just figure out a way to post my own topic on here.....
