  1. The only work I have planned Don is putting the water intake line in, getting it primed and running and then rehooking my floater docks up to the crib dock. The rest of the time..play with new toy and FISH. I know it won't go that way...but there's always hope!
  2. This will give you an idea of just how big of an area we're talking about Don't click if you're on dial up...its 3.1meg http://www.mnics.org/Incidents/Fire_1/perimeter_map.pdf and the Minnesota fire fighting website http://www.mnics.org/Incidents/fire_1.shtml Cost to date, just for fire fighting, in USA alone $4million at this point. Does not include homes/cabins lost already. Check out the picture gallery for some amazing pictures of the devistation.
  3. ... Picked out a couple rods to get us by for 10 or so days. Have everything here from the boat, as I cleaned it out before trading in, so more than usual to fit in the truck. Puzzle goin together in the box and I made it all fit with room in the back seat of the cab for our food/plug in cooler and our clothes Good thing the ford has a deeper box than a GMC ! Hope to have a nice report in when I come back...probably just more scenery on the lake...but hell you're used to that by now! :Gonefishing:
  4. Hate to disagree with you billy bob...but that there is a Pumpkinseed. Bluegill has a totally black ear flap. Pumpkinseed has a read spot to go with it..just like his picture. Blue gill also has a black spot on its rear dorsal fin. Looked like a very successful outing 007 !
  5. Well it could be if Tybo keeps his end of the birthday bargain up! Have a great day Joey!
  6. It's not cheap...but I think it's worth the view.
  7. Want a nice view of the whole city TJ...take a trip up to the top of Grouse Mountain on the gondola..just North of the city.
  8. LOL DANO! And TJ, you sit right where I do in the big tin cans...so when they crash and break in half right in front of the wing I can run out thru the big new hole. Have fun out there.
  9. Great report Joey, thanks for sharin with us.
  10. Emergency officials advised hundreds of residents in northwestern Ontario to evacuate their cottages Saturday as a wildfire raged out of control in the region. The fire began at an unattended campsite across the border in Northern Minnesota several days ago...................... http://news.sympatico.msn.cbc.ca/National/...howbyline=True#
  11. Happy Birthday Joey... and Many Many More my dear!
  12. Is Kaladar area close enough for you Rizzo? It's refered to as the "Land O Lake" region of Ontario. I've fished Birch Lake...just North of Plevna and it's full of Pickeral and bass. Probably similar on Sunday Lake.
  13. Wind is darn near nill up here now Brian. Should of done GBay and picked up that cover! Remo just left Turkey-less after a long morning of having them follow behind him...
  14. Beauty report Nug...thanks for takin the time to share your adventure.
  15. Good to see you finally caught up to me Bud. Have a good one and a tip of the Pepsi can to ya!
  16. Come to think of it, there was some strange sounds comin out of that cabin last year... as it was Dawgs first year. Guess you'z the new meat this year Tom.
  17. Dang customers screw everything up. Just put one in the air 5 minutes ago...the other tomorrow afternoon. Lake by noon Monday and my tanks are already full... Truck and the new boat.
  18. Which one of the executives, with stock options, pulled the breaker on his way out the door to the golf course this morning?
  19. I doubt that's the whole point Corey...OFC server isn't gonna handle everyone actually using the gallery for their pictures. Most use photobucket or guys like me that use my own websites Gallery. If I have to stop using my own website where I can quickly FTP pics to it...then I'll be done posting pics...but I guess many would be happy when that day came anyhow...so no loss.
  20. Boat should be fine around the Sound between Penetang and Waub and all points up the North Channel towards Honey Harbour. Penetang Launch....400 to 93 and follow it to the very end. Launch is on the left at the bottom of the hill...across from the beer store. The %(*@)- charge to launch though...even residents. Midland Launch in Pete Peterson Park is free. You did have to be a Midland Resident to park your vehicle and trailer there though. Although I didn't see that sign when scouting it out this morning to make sure the docks were back in. If the sign is there...launch your boat and go back out and park on the side of Sunnyside Drive on the wide shoulder. There are no - no parking signs out there so legal. To get there same deal 400 to 93, but after you have gone thru the shopping district of Midland (McD's, Malls, CTC, Rona) you will go down a step hill. At the bottom (traffic lights) turn RIGHT onto VINDEN ST. Follow it about a mile to the next set of lights and turn LEFT onto Sunnyside Drive. Next corner turn RIGHT (sign on corner for BAY PORT MARINA). Follow it in and you will see the sign up on the right for the boat launch. I highly suggest a map of Georgian Bay if heading out there unless you have a jet drive!
  21. Boat size?? You can be on the Midland or Penetang boat launch in 1hr - 45 out of the big smoke...but don't wanna get caught in a tinny on the Sound after the 11am wind shift. Other option is to launch in Waub and have some islands to hide behind.
  22. You're killing me Bud...don't you have real work to do?
  23. Well nobody else can claim it. We know it's the only diagonally decked dock on the lake, thanks to the gal that boats the Hydro Meter reader around to every place on the lake. I'll find it Terry I'll find it.
  24. Thanks Jim...it's waitin for me just like that, ready to drop the drawbridge and start the season. Well at least it better still be there.... "excited"? Can't remember when I got a full nights sleep last...need a switch on the brain!
