  1. Nope...as a matter of fact I've never felt the need to ever weigh a fish.
  2. 49 meg! ...and 10 pages more than the old regs. Glad less zones = less regs. Haven't read it yet...but guessing the exemption pages are immense!
  3. DANG... what's that Thorpe guy know about Muskies anyhow! LOL I have no reason to dispute O'Brien's fish, but I do know from reading that it reweighed 5 lbs lighter after it was frozen.
  4. I'll get a guy right on that bud !
  5. I was actually planning to use it to "rake" my yard of leaves...but old man winter put the kibosh on that !
  6. I can't believe you're going fishing with what's his name!
  7. Zebras.. spinny water flea..and I know the livewell on my old boat could hold minnows even when it was "drained"...as the drain plug went out the side, not a back corner so Gobies could live in it..but you'd have to have scooped them somehow I guess. Mind you that is where I'd put my minnow bucket to run down the lake.
  8. http://www.mnr.gov.on.ca/MNR/csb/news/2007/sep27nr_07.html We really need some highway boat wash stations...as I think most of this transfer is from the fact that darn near every boat on the water now has live wells etc. For those that don't...start washing your boats between lakes and/or bleaching your live wells etc if you aren' t letting everything dry out before your next launch.
  9. They don't need them in Kabec! ....and besides... Santa don' t need no wings!
  10. Means I may just be able to go Muskie hunting next week if I can get this thing loaded and on it's way back to Montreal on Saturday..
  11. No he said SHIFT Emil ! Like the old OMC drives...they needed a special oil that won't short out the electic solenoid/wiring. As for $13 for the proper lower unit oil... so what.. what's your lower end worth? Mercs HP oil for the lower end is $15.95 for a quart. Takes about 1/2 a bottle for my 9.9 and almost a full one for my Verado. $32 to protect the lower ends for a year. In the grand scheme of things...money well spent IMHO especially on a kicker that may be working harder than if you had it on a 12' tinny. As for full synthetics...you'll never catch me going there. Full synthetics don't climb gears..they just push out of the way leaving the driven gear dry in some instances. Normal oil or a blend for me. ..and what Bernie said about the washers. I have customers blow gaskets when they see what I charge them for an aircraft bolt sometimes (even when it's only $1.25). The fact I have it in stock is worth the price alone, if you don't have to wait for it to come in. Then consider the time it takes to go get it and bring it to the counter, exchange money etc or god forbid you want to pay for it with VISA.... that costs me 4.5% to the Payment tech crooks..... $1.25 sale, at $1/minute for labour... Now if we're talkin those $26 seals Joey bought the other day..well .. LOL
  12. You got that right Kirk...and they, the MNR, have found at least one way to cover some of their costs (make that job justification) that I've just found out about unfortunately. They use to sell the land owner, of "Patent land", the shore allowance in front of their cottage/property for a one time fee of $850 to simply do the paperwork to close the allowance. I just found out that as of this year it's now done at "fair market value" and it's gonna cost me $35,000 if I want mine up North. If I had of known this last year... only $850! Guess they're hoping they get 2 a year per district to pay a salary!
  13. Hope she's buying lunch Louis !
  14. Great stuff....but please buy Rich a new Touque for Christmas !
  15. No "dam" fish...but ya did get some elsewhere!
  16. Good stuff Deepdiver !! Next time, Brian, don't dic k around leaving and pack up in the dark ! LOL Should have called my cell on the Monday...but hindsight is 20/20 !
  17. Well said Steve and sorry for your loss and his family's loss. Everyone is always quick to judge and forgets it may very well be them someday. I know we had our "day" on the Labour Day weekend, that came darn close to Serge's fait x 5.
  18. I had to get Leah to hold a search light...so I could find the way from the shop door to the house door at 5PM ! "Laker Dan"...
  19. Heck...I'll just email you one...not like anyone in their right mind would wear one anyhow!
  20. Simple Emil..change the oil..motor and lower unit...pop the two spark plugs out..spray some storage spray in..reinstall the plugs...give it a couple pulls..hook the plug wires back up and put it away !
  21. Did you want me to mail you your hat Emil...or can you wait for it to be passed by hand?
  22. You tryin to retain the lock ness monster? 20thou would be plenty..considering you're putting it inside an existing seat. Definitely no need to go beyond .040". Hell the bottom of my airplane floats are only .032 !
  23. Another wonderful report Mike and I darn near missed it.
  24. Beauty find Emil ! ! Glad I could help you along the journey !
