  1. Yep.. as Roy points out either a bent axle = some toe in or postive caster..... or look back in your mirror while you're towing. Are you running that tire down the edge of the pavement and need to drive closer to the yellow line? See way too many people that forget the trailer is wider than their car/truck. Oh.. and boat trailer tires are generally 50psi
  2. 5oth anniversary celebration for gas bars.. Time for Leah to call her Godparents and get the scoop!
  3. Great stuff Mike !! I guess that means Don finally wrote a cheque for another one.. lol
  4. Had a big Iglo.. and never went in it. Snow bank = happy. When he was 10 and getting slower I put a doggy door in the hangar and he went in there to get out of the wind... laid on three layers of cardboard and a furniture moving blanket. Still -30... but no wind. He liked the radio on too.. lol Clamp-it talks of room to roam vs stress of city folks dogs. Like many things maybe we all need to sit back and look at the big picture. If that environment is too stressful.. should we be putting the animals thru it?? Nothing erks me more than seeing a couple King Sheppards coming out of a one bedroom apartment.
  5. I'd say Cory was commending Garry2R's for getting it right... and... Dang Gerritt.. guess I'm a smuck. Our Lab spent 13 years outside... free roam of 120 acres and to the best of our knowledge never crossed the fence line.. always there to meet us at the back door when we drove in the laneway..... happy to curl up in a snow bank at -30C.. and you couldn't drag him in the house to change that. And he didn't bark at anyone or thing.. other than the odd night when a Coyote strolled to close to the house and he made sure they knew who was boss. Most dogs where bred to be outside dogs before people started using them like surrogate children. Think back 25 years if you can and compare how many people had a dog in the yard vs the house back then.

  10. Hopefully another trip out on GBay in the next week. Then off to Lake Temagami on the 12th of May. Back from there just in time to go see Roy.. fish with Thorpe.. Sept 29/30/Oct1/2 GBay for Muskie 'till the lake freezes after that. Lakair in June.. still up in the air thanks to the Camerons..what's the name of the place next door again?
  11. Could always make a side trip on your way home Dan.. take 11 vs 17 !... if ya know what I mean...
  12. I hope they don't have a single battery for both Verado and kicker. Did they run out of space for batteries? Verado must have a dedicated battery with nothing else on it... all accessories are supposed to be on the kicker battery. Even if you don't have a kicker you're supposed to have two batteries.. one for the Verado.. one for all the accessories. The Verado alternator output goes thru an isolator to both batteries to keep them charged when running the lake. If you are on only one battery for both motors.... keep in mind that the Verado won't start if you get below around 11 volts. Computer won't let it... and the kicker puts out less amperage than the power steering draws when using it. Be a long trip home on the bow mount. Also part of the reason for the dedicated Verado battery is voltage consistancy... no spikes from accessories etc.. Verado computer is worth around 5 grand I'm told.
  13. LOL.. wife and I have seen it all. Her parents ran a campground for many years and I have "fond" memories of the goings on. Things like newly weds sleeping bags being stolen... waking guys up in their van by poking them with a stick thru the sunroof and then tying them there when they popped up 'till the cops come. And to think my sister-in-law just bought a campground on Manitoulin.... she was so young at the time her parents had theirs that she thought the campground life was smooth and easy. Man is she in for a learning curve... or should I say steep slope !
  14. Better not be surface icing like that when I arrive Bud !
  15. Talkin about me or the fish John? Creative text to make your point! LOL
  16. Damn.. hate when that happens! Was just the first pic I found with that old Chinook in it. Finally found a place to hang that ugly old thing... 23 years later ! Can't believe 3500 views and 8 pages on a marshmellow. Can we get it to 10 !.. I think it will be an all time record.
  17. Be cheaper too Bruce... 3 bags for a buck I'm told at the dollar store. Just fill your pockets each day and if you don't see the dog you have survival rations on hand.
  18. Note sure what to think.... or how many times I've been insulted here. I use to fish under the Bronte Creek bridge .. pre '85 with Kraft Mello's. So I'm a snagger, an unethical fisherman and using illegal bait. Funny thing is... my mellow was down this buggers throat.. hook is probably still in there... Oh.. and I speared a beaver last night as well... am I in trouble for that too?
  19. I can honestly say that I've caught my largest (19 x 13) Smallmouth Bass on a 10" Mr."T" Jerk Bait in Perch colour.
