Launch in town beside the hatchery is free. Parking over behind the train station for truck/trailer is free. You can also launch at Strathcona Landing and park there (it's at the end of Temagami Marine Rd). Also can launch in the hub at the end of the Lake Temagami access road. But be prepared to park on the side of the road about a mile from the launch and be sure to have a couple gallons of water in the trunk to clean the road dust off the windshield when you return. What are you taking for a boat? There are sections of the lake that can get mean with the wind in the right direction. I've been thru 8 footers in the NE arm where I could only do 8MPH with my 22 ' Lund.

I'll make it two words... synthetic blend.. as close as I'll go and only in my Verado. Full synthetics aren't all they are cracked up to be. Pros/cons to both synthetic and fosil oils and a blend covers the bases better.

Temagami Marine just uses normal car oil 'till you get to the bigger outboards that call out specific oils like my Verado. My 25 Honda and 9.9 Merc Kicker just run on normal car oil.

Of course you're correct Spiel !! We can't thank Carole enough for bringing us food and helping pack and load for a good 6 hours on Friday. (along with taking all the clothes to a worthy facility) Leah and I left home at 7am and packed stuff from 9 am to 10 PM on Friday... then 9am to 10pm Saturday.. home at 1am this morning. But at least that is done.. now we just have to unload a 24 ' car carrier and two trucks somewhere... And Jocko... post count is not a sign of intelligence.. don't worry about it.

I'd like to THANK everyone for helping the family through this tough time. Some of you have gone above and beyond to help us deal with this huge "bump in the road". As I said earlier I printed out all the Condolences for my Mother, oldest sister and brother and all were very touched by your comments and have each taken a copy home to read and browse thru. It's also amazing how such solid friendships can be formed on a fishing forum. How many would go to this much trouble for someone they met on the internet?? I just wish he'd start taking pictures of Fern changing and not himself. Dano and Fern drove all the way from the other side of Orangeville to attend the funeral (and to hold my hand). They don't come finer than this. But next time Dan... get changed in the hotel or something. Not in the Smiths Falls Walmart parking lot! LMAO ! (No Dogs were harmed during the taking of this photo.... LMAO!)
