Got a chance to get out this weekend for some winter steelhead the weather was brutal but since i dont own a car i get any chance i get to go fishing my buddy picked me up around 1pm and we were at the river by 3pm my first time fishing this trib and its always nice to see a new place other than seeing it on youtube videos apart from the wind smacking me in the face and the trek down to the river it is was an amazing experience we decided to leave the float fishing gears at home and throw spoons and vibrax spinners instead Pink and chrome seem to be the colour they wanted that day we did pretty good going 3/4 and i decided to keep this nice steelie for the dinner table! Sorry for the blood in the picture i couldnt feel my hands to wash her off!

Yeah Ironmaker i had to make decision and i chose the right one i also felt as if i could be a target just for hanging with these guys i thank my girlfriend everyday for opening my eyes a bit and steering clear of them!

It was my second time going ice fishing with my dad ,his buddy and his two sons while walking out to find a spot on the ice to get set up the younger one of his two sons slips and falls on his arm and just starts waaaaaaailing crying at the top of his lungs his dad helps him up and asks him he can move his arm he says yes but it hurts anyway his dad convinces the little guy to still stay and fish and that his arm is not broken not wanting to cut our trip short because we just got there the day goes on with his son crying in pain in agony from time to time so the next day my dads buddy calls and says his son had hairline fracture in his arm from the fall! LOL poor guy! I stepped in a few holes in my time not fun! and the first time we ever heard pressure cracks we high tailed it outta there!

do you think that skunk ever sprayed that fox? LOL

I use Lucky sons on cooks bay every year nice and warm huts for kids take my little niece every year with me and shes 6 now its non stop action all day and the odd keeper here and there and you can even get pizza delivered on the ice!

yeah it was shocker for us we didnt feel safe after he found my dad was the one who discovered the body if i remember right my dad said that this wasnt his first try and he was successful before he used the carpet from his own store too i may add not the smartest move

That sound intense dood How can i forget this one! My dad wanted to go to humber river at old mills since we lived downtown and it was only a short streetcar ride for salmon in october or september can't remember tbh i was just a youngin he gets there early in the AM and sees blood on the railing of the bridge thinks nothing of it he figured someone gutted a fish for the roe so he then goes down starts drifting under the same bridge 2 drifts later he notices a leg in the water he figured someone dumped a mannequin in he goes closer to get a better look and he then realizes its a human body of a woman not knowing what to do he sees a couple jogging he stops them and asks to call 911 the cops show up take statements and yadda yadda came to our house to take more statements and even a dna test from my dad we then later find out the guy who commited this murder owns a variety store right across the street from us That was a shocker he was the nicest guy ever gave me candy and other treats i wanted from the store he even spotted us groceries and cigarettes for my dad when we didnt have money he was trying to get insurance money from her death he killed in the store and wrapped her up in carpet and threw her off the old mill bridge, Some one even spotted a him forcing the body in his trunk One of the Craziest things thats ever happen to us

Majority of my friends are criminals lol from drug dealers to gang bangers to scam/fraud artists thank god i dont hang with them anymore all three have been shot and lucky to have lived and in call three cases i was supposed to be there thank god i didnt end up going cuz i could have been shot too or worse maybe dead

Hopefully i see you down there ! There was a boat on saturday about 30 feet away from the dam as well wish i can upload the video i took when i was leaving of the herd that was there! My buddy was curious as to why no one centrepin fishes here? i couldn't give him a reason anyone care to enlighten us?

I knew someone was going to say that lol but i strategically left my phone in the car so the girlfriend doesnt bother me! Just kidding forgot the phone in the car was to scared to leave my spot and run back to the car because it was so packed!! I promise pictures when i go back this weekend! The fishing was so hot anyone could have hooked up i probably seen over 15 fish landed it was insane i couldnt believe it

Thanks for everyones help I had a good day on saturday landing 3 browns in 3 hours its was really packed counted 40 guys shoulder to shoulder but the bite was fire and yes ironmaker a lot of cars from the USA were there i got there by 5am and the was already 15 cars in the parking lot but 7am there was 40 + people fishing Glad i got there early by 8am it was a zoo so i took off!

Thats the plan brother! The weather has other ideas but im dressing for it!

Thanks for your help, looked at some videos on youtube and think ill try that spot near the dam even seen a comment that browns were being caught there yesterday and if that fails ill stroll down to martindale pond like you said Thanks!

Hey Guys going to be in St Catherines Visiting my sister in law I was thinking to check out the port in the morning What are the best access points this time year if I'm targeting brown trout or rainbow trout any help would be appreciated i have my mind settled for the dam right in town Also the 12 mile creek runs through her backyard i was thinking about going there as well but any other suggestions would be grateful ! i dont think people will raid you for some weed too much work to be done before you can actually flip it a couples keys of coke is a different story tho lol
