  1. Although you said the carb's been cleaned it sure sounds like a gummed up carb to me. I'd try one those carb cleaners that you mix with the gas. That's worked for me in the past...
  2. That trip is a memory he'll always take with him, good on you for making it happen. I know from experience how challenging those types of trips can be especially with a young one..
  3. Nice recap Joey, and yeah I feel the same way, one of these years I'll have to make it up there and meet everyone. Looks like an absolute blast!
  4. Fantastic report! Cliff I can picture your excitement perfectly fighting the huge musky. Too bad you lost it but what a memory.
  5. Beauty fish bud! Looks like a fabulous time was had by all.
  6. Agreed it would have been nice to groom Nieuendyk.... But the scouting staff has since been mostly revamped since Burke took over. It's the best front office staff and scouting department the Leafs have had in ages. Isn't Burke Canadian? You're a Don Cherry disciple aren't you?
  7. Agree totally, I love this kid! If the Leafs are willing to overspend and aquire Tampas pick it's possible... I don't see what all the hype is about either. In any case free agent Gustavson has whittled his choices to supposedly Colorado, Dallas and the Leafs with all 3 pursuing him. It's been said he's favouring the Leafs... Personally I'd be fine with a healthy Toskala.
  8. And I appreciate the feedback. I've had a couple of other pm's regarding Bay City that weren't very complimentary. On the other hand ironically enough it was Bay City where I bought my current boat package a few years ago. I had no problems with Clarence, but then I dealt with him for maybe 15 mins total and havn't been back in since. I'm going to call around and check prices today. Thanks again guys.
  9. Thanks a bunch Roy, what you're telling me jives with the small amount of research I've done so far. How does $1700 sound? (OFC members only )
  10. Hey guys I could use some input here again. Related to my other post asking where to find a new 40hp 4 stroke Yammy I'm looking to sell my existing motor. Problem is I have no clue what it's worth. It's a '99 Yamaha 2 stroke 25hp long shaft tiller. Manual start, trolling plate, spare prop, gas tank and hose included. Serviced yearly, stored indoors, pretty much mint shape... Thanks boys.
  11. Right on!! Did you Cronzy 'em up?
  12. You're very welcome and the feeling is mutual. Good luck with the house hunt bud. Can't wait either bud! Dude you slay me.
  13. Gustavson has to be a Leaf first before you can speculate on who'll play in net. Let's talk after July 1st.
  14. You know me mister impulsive. Max on mine is 40hp. It's an awesome little motor for sure. On a side note does anyone know what a '99 Yammy 25hp 2 stroke might be worth?
  15. Thanks guys, all opinions are welcome. Steve pm sent.
  16. After suffering last week once again with my severely underpowered boat I can't take it anymore. Can anyone here reccomend a dealer in southern Ont where I can buy a 40hp 4 stroke yammy tiller? On a side note I've got a mint shape 25hp Yamaha 2 stroke that'll be for sale very soon.
  17. Wow Horwood is a reservoir, but still that's a crazy number of logs! (Yep, Fern vs Lloyd is definitely a no brainer. )
  18. Oh boy that video was funny! (But where's your report? Where's the story? C'mon man you can do better!)
  19. Just got back from 5 days at the camp with BillM, his dad Frank and Moosebunk. What a fantastic trip!! I'm heading back up in a couple days with the family so don't have time for a formal report. I'll leave the full story for Bill to tell, he's got a bunch more pictures and some pretty funny video clips that hopefully he'll post. Until then here's a short preview: Bill's dad Frank with a decent pike: Billy with one of many topwater smallmouth: Shorelunch: 281/2" eye that I caught in the main lake: Enroute to the landing: Lining the canoe down the river into a back lake: Bunk with a decent eye: Billy with a bunch of eater walleye: Thanks for the laughs boys, it was an epic trip! Looking forward to the full story from Bill... Cheers, Mike
  20. The camp is just upstream from Flat Rapids themselves, I've fished there in the fall for large walleye. Flat rapids are easily navigable with care and I'd suggest you do it. Best fishing imo is from Flat Rapids down. For walleye troll at night with the largest floating Rapala. The train trestle just downstream from Flat Rapids is always a good spot. I usually anchor there just upstream from the train bridge. Large 4-5" sucker or chub minnows are deadly that time of year.
  21. Not Tyson but an angry Gauguin. Some say it was him who lopped off Vincents lobe.
  22. Either that or I take Mike Tyson fishin' with me and he snaps.
  23. Good luck regardless of your decision.
  24. John that was an interesting segue to a simple question. Unfortunately the question can't be answered. I'd like to add that true greatness comes only with obsession.
