  1. Ya can't beat the price!

    S.

Just to save you some time. I called a few places (Tremblays, Epps, BPS). Nobody would price match the $534 at Lebaron. Walked out of there with a new gun, scope for the deer barrel, sling, and hardware for mounting everything for under $800 tax in.

  2. I herd on the radio this morning, that some of the anglers are planning a baseball tourny, and the money raised will go to against the charges. That's their form of comunity service.

I'm not sure I agree with that, but if that's how they want to raise money to pay their bills, then go for it. But I don't consider a baseball tourny "comunity service", IMO.

  3. your equipment will be capable of taking deer out to 175-200 yards IF you find the sabots your gun likes. mine preferred 2 3/4" copper solids which would make nice little 3" outside to outside (center to center = 2"?) groups at 125 yards with a scope off a solid rest.

I've never tried my slug gun at anything further then 100 yards. But it realy like the Hornady SST Slugs. Very tight patterns at 100. Like I said, I've never gone further then that, and likely never would in the field. To much target practice with expensive shells to get that good!

  4. RARE but I guess it happens

I aggree with that. Likely the original seals. And it's only happend once. well.. Twice, but that's cuz I installed the seal wrong :wallbash:

PAL = Police Athletic Association here......what does it stand for in Ontario........ :dunno:

    Possession and Acquisition Licence.

  5. I have had a few semis over the years, but I keep going back to the pump for reliability.

Nothing worse then gettin up early, getting to the blind. Ducks are dive bombing you, and the first shot, you blow a gas seal. Day over. Well, unless you want to use your Semi as a single shot. This has happened to me with my old 1100 once.

  6. Tonight the moon was right beside one of the planets.. Not sure if it was Venus or Jupiter. Either way, I got out for a few pictures. I wish they where a little better quality, but they're the best I can do with my lens.

I've been trying for weeks to get a decent shot.

  7. I've noticed them strut'n in the of the local spots around Barrie.

There are actually quit a few flocks of Turkeys that live inside the City limits all year round. At least 4 that I can think of. They where on the strut all week across from where I work.

  8. Get the boat out Skip..

I drove by at 6pm today, and snapped a few pics for ya!

Few spots with ice floating around, and debris. I wouldn't be ripping around full throttle. But a putz over to the perch grounds..Sure :thumbsup_anim:

I also get a kick out of the sign posted at the boat launch about the minnows on Simcoe. They put it there this winter. The don't plow that parking lot, so even if the ice was good, very few people access the lake from that point :wallbash:
