  1. I don't know the conditions you were in so I'm not defending the truck drivers in your case. As a driver, I have to remind myself before getting frustrated that cars don't have the height and weight advantage of a truck.

Thank-you Slowpoke. I was really hoping a trucker would chime in and explain things about the vantage point of a trucker. I appreciate the input :good:

  2. Nothin up my way yet. When I came to look at the house last fall before we bought it, there was ferns everywhere. Lots of prime fiddle head habitat up here. More then I'll be able to eat! I'll be sure to drop you a line once I notice anything. And trust me, I've been watching for them :thumbsup_anim:

  3. In Ontario, I'm floored at how fast the transport trucks drive in poor conditions. Heading home from the Nip G2G this year, we ran in to some NASTY weather. Driving 60km's and there's trucks passing us going 90 to 100km/s.. Seems a bit crazy to me.. But I'm not a trucker, and have no idea how they handle on ice and snow covered roads.?

Obviously this is not a factor in the video here. This trucker had no chance.

  4. You want to talk about wieners and beans..

I've been looking for a cheap pike/muskie set up for a while.

Managed to pick this up for $10...

Tony Rizzo rod, old but in mint condition. And an Okuma Hologen bait caster.

  5. Just as a side note, why wear waders if youre in a boat?

Waders keep you 100% dry. I don't have a really good pair of rain gear. So if it's raining hard, I've often thrown on my waders to keep dry. Specially during may 24 camping, when it's cold..

I've gone under wearing my waders while duck hunting more than once. No problem.. They didn't cause me to sink any faster.

  6. jeez man.. i feel really bad for you. that's one crappy evening. the fact that you stuck around and did what you did to help this lady out, kudos to you. a lot of people might have just drove off.

I can't comment on what you should do, or the timing. what ever feels right.

  7. I was just watching an old episode of "To Serve and Protect". It reminded me of this post.

Two Vancouver cops bust a guy for huffing paint thinners. The guy is totally wrecked :asshat: .

The one cop takes a quart of turpentine, and a gallon of paint thinner, and DUMPS it down the sewer!!

The good O'l days eh :rofl2:
