Never been to the interior of AP myself either. But I do go for long camping trips in the back country.

My suggestions for a few items would be:

A good knife

Bow Saw

Small Stove/Burner w/fuel

Fishing gear (Obviously)

Rope

Tarps

4 litre bag of red wine

Compact cooking gear / utensels

Cooking oil / butter

lighters in zip-lock bags

Toilet Paper

There's a couple things. I'm sure people with chim in with some other good stuff

It all depends on how light you want to travel.

I love all kinds of fishing. My favourite depends on who's in the boat with me.

I'm a big fan of silently trolling with my electric. Pike and Walleye are almost always the target, but the Bass like to join the fight too.

You sneak up on all sorts of things. Like loons, wildlife, and cottagers tanning topless on their docks!!

End date for the construction Nov 29, 2013! Holy smokes

The construction will not be done by June. You are right, some of it will be done. But they are re-building a bridge (again). The construction will likely be going on for the entire summer in places.

I commute from Barrie up to Orr Lake daily.

If the construction/traffic is bad, there are lots of side roads you can take.

Stick to your plan. Specially if it's a long weekend.

Colognes, perfumes, scented air fresheners, etc.

 

Latex gloves, balloons, etc.

 

Food.

 

Pollen, grass, etc.

 

Lots of alergens apart from airborne.

Paint, building suplies... There are so many things it's unreal.
