My wife had to pick my jaw up off the ground after seeing that. What was funny was seeing him demonstrate how lining works....... What he should have done was explain that the "technique" they were using is legal where they were fishing. Rich.

How do you know there was just three fish in the pool? How do you know the fish were netted out if you didn't see the person(s) doing it? Thats a pretty big accusation considering you didn't even see it being done. Rich.

Nice atlantic..oops I mean brown. Rich.

Lots of paitience when learning how to cast. Rich.

That would make sense since the Puma's main diet is deer. This is there native range, and according to the Ontario Puma foundation there are about 550 province wide and their numbers are steadily increasing as well. Rich.

It's amazing what cooler summers with lots of precip will do. I know in the credit we are seeing tonns of smolts all over the lower river, there were even yoy brown and steelhead smolts in and around streetsville this summer. Rich.

Filming them is a good idea or a simple still picture will work too. As well take down their licence plate number and make of car/truck. That will make the MNR's job of laying charges alot easier. Rich.

Most fish collect down stream at the first pool south of the dam on the inside eddy. Rich.

I know on the credit the reason for the sancuary between Brittania and the 403 is for tresspassing reasons (ie. Croatia park and Kraft properties). This use to be the case as well with the lower section of river between Dundas and the Qew (ie. The Credit Valley G&C club and The Mississauga G&C club). Rich.

Unfortunitly the dam and ladder or on Kraft property. Kraft is now enforcing it now and anyone who is caught will be charged with tresspasing by the peel regional police. Your best bet is too take the kids to the bowmanville(goodyear) dam which is easily accessable. Rich.

Anyone been down on the Credit this morning?

FYI, kraft owns all the land around the dam and the dam itself. The mill now has peel police patrolling it regularily and will lay charges to anyone they find trespassing on the property. To answern your question raptorfan, yes there are chinnies, cohos, browns, and steelhead at the dam already. There have been fish up there for a while already. Rich. -
I like the colourful marshmellows, they work better then the plain white ones . Rich.

Just a reminder guys, The ganny closes above the CNR bridge sept 30th. Rich.

I think it has to do with Kipling ave. I believe they are extending it to the 407. Rich.

It's bowmanville, and it's fall, what do you expect. Thats why I hate salmon season....it brings out the worst in people. Bring on the cold weather and chrome! Rich.
-
As was stated in my previous post. It's 75 ft from the lower entrence or base, so yes you can fish right above the dam. Rich.
-
My suggestion would be to read the ontario sport fishing regs before fishing any new body of water. As for dams, fish ladders or any obsticles that help fish, it's 75 ft downstream from the lower entrence. Rich.

There are no places left in southern Ont. that are any less busy then erindale, except my secret spots....... . Your best bet, if you had the choice would be to fish throught the middle of the week(ie. tues, wed, thurs) and even then there's lots of guys fishing especially after a rain. Rich.

Tips, techniques, not giving you exact locations on where to find fish. Let me ask you this, if there was no message boards out there how would you find out where to fish? As for being an hour away it's called trial and error, so why not gas up your vehical and take a drive. Rich.

That adipose clip on the chinooks has been working in favour of the wild fish. Every report i've herd so far has many more none clipped vs clipped chinook's, But I guess only time will tell. Ether way it seems the the majority of the lake guys don't want to believe anything anyone or what any report says in regard to chinooks reproducing in the wild. Rich.
-
Why not the Credit, you know the answer to that one Louis. It is because they have "there own" special fishery up there and they don't want it spoiled by migratory's and everything that comes with them. Rich.
-
I couldn't agreemore with you. Just look at all the tibs out east of toronto, on Lake Huron, and G bay that have no barriers on them. The problem is that the guys who fish up in the forks are scared that it will bring the "masses" who fish for migratories up there. Rich.

Chinooks do successfully spawn below streetsville because unlike steelhead, coho's, and browns they smolt out in may the same year they hatch before the lower river gets to hot. Streetsville does have a ladder and it does work, all fish can make it over when allowed. Now the reason the Pacific’s aren't allowed above streetsville is because the credit river fisheries management plan does not allow them too. As the FMP stands now Pacific’s are allowed up to streetsville, migratory trout are allowed up to Norval, and atlantics which are a native species are allowed un-restricted access to every part of the credit river and it's tributaries. When the ladder gets built in Norval, which is going to be happening this year. An electro barrier built in Inglewood, migratory trout will be allowed access up to Inglewood and Chinooks hopefully will be allowed to Norval. Rich.
