  1. Snag, I could be persuaded to help whip the Toronto shoreline to a froth someday soon, a day or two's notice should do it.
  2. Even if you pass your line through the eye three times, it still looks like a Uni Knot.
  3. They do use it, but they call it a uni knot. Uni Knot
  4. I don't mean to sound disrespectful of those that have done it, you know who. Hats are off to you. I know that I would be trying to buy a paddle.
  5. Garlic, onions, a nice Chianti.
  6. Nice gear, but you can't beat a Daiwal Regal and an UgliStick. $47.50, you're done.
  7. I understand, Drifter, thx. Antlers are annual, horns aren't. I'm still amazed that you live in YellowKnife, and fly in to the more remote spots. You, solopaddler and Moosebunk are the core of the hardcore. And there is this little gem... Makes my avatar look like bait.
  8. A great example of engineering, design and machining. Like a Swiss watch, form follows function. I'm sure you will take good care of that fine jewel. Congrats on the get. If you have never played with a reel like that, you look at it sideways and it starts to spin, and it just keeps going.
  9. Fabulous, Drifter_016. Nice moose horns, whatever you call em. Is that some sort of camera remote control in your left hand? Wishin I had that feature.
  10. I get about 1.7 MB/s with Sympatico. Cable is faster at times, but I have no complaints. You will be tickled pink with a connection that's 50 times faster than your dial up.
  11. That little buggah is tough to find, even though they make them right around the corner, on Atwell Drive at Fairview Fittings. I finally ended up buying dedicated hoses rather than the adaptors - stove to bottle, and then stove to tank.
  12. Yup, we do the same thing, all cash goes to paying down debt, but I still manage to kick something every year into RRSPs. My wife will have a great pension (God Bless her pointed little ears), but I will have to fill mine every year. As far as a savings account that accumulates cash? Not really.
  13. Howdy, Oliver, and welcome. Pay no attention to the short furry man behind the curtain.
  14. Ya, there really is no mystery at all where that came from or who caught it. How can you forget a name like Ewout Blom?
  15. Brian , OF and Kudi, those were great clips. I bet the Ed Fitz guy was from Michigan, he seemed to know the stuff.
  16. Jawdropping photography, especially those two birds, whatever they is. The shots of the feeding deer are great too. Perfect. Thanks for the share.
  17. Eye-tracker, I agree - I like to use the clicker when setting a downrigger for exactly that reason.
  18. How would I know if I had a crankbait or a minnowbait?
  19. A joy to experience that with you, great video, great photography on the stills too. You should see if you could get someone more photogenic than Mike, that would help a lot right there.
  20. I hope that I am there when my Dad passes, and I also hope to die with my family nearby. Maybe the things that happened were horrible and tragic, but the way they happened was best? God Bless you and your family, Jacques.
  21. Er, I have two words for you: Garmin. On the other hand, I don't know anything at all about the products you have on your list.
  22. A fine grey trout there. Congratulations on landing such a fine laker on a 6 lb handline. If you had called it a 10 pounder, only the idiots would have called you on it, it's got length and girth. Well done.
  23. TJ, the list of terms is designed to sell lures. What the hell is the difference between a jerkbait and a slashbait? My other complaint about the whole thing is that most of the names are not descriptive at all. What is a swimbait? And why is there such a difference between a spinner and a spinner bait? Surely a spinner is bait too. I'm mad as hell about this. </rant>.
  24. Yup, Brian, it was kRoNiK, CoolB's buddy.
