Pulled the Stratos out the other day after having it sitting in the water for a couple of months and of course the algae build up was pretty bad and very tough to get off. Just wondering what you glass boat owners use to get the hull sparkling clean.

Yes it is in move in condition not a thing to do which suits my lazy frugal side. The yard is very nice and very well maintained and there is a nice waterfall/pond maybe I`ll get me a pet Bass!

It a done deal house in Shelburne is sold bought a much smaller place in Orangeville, movin September 30th. The new digs in the ville should suit us well all the big ticket items have been done,windows,roof,doors,kitchen,bathroom. I like to tinker in the garden a bit and the new place has nice back and side yard.

My technical answer is that braid sucks!!! I don`t know why anybody would use it on spinning gear anyways!!!

I don`t see the big deal, is this some kind of revelation that TV fishing show hosts are for sale in one form or another? If they were not for sale they would not have a show!! Hey if the Crapola reel company wants to sponsor me I could probably learn to luv the Crapola 9000 baitcaster.

Okay I spooled a couple of baitcasters and spinning reels with the braid and I still find the braid does not come off the baitcasters nice and smooth like mono does seems to be more prone to the odd bird`s nest. On the spinning reels I used one for a surface lure and tried a walk the dog and jerk and pause retrieve and the line would not spool on the spool it would spool on the bottom of the spool and not where the line was supposed to go, when I used a steady retrieve this would not happen. The positives were the feel It felt like I could feel every blade of grass my spinnerbait touched and when the pike were hitting the spinnerbaits you could feel really feel the strike,the little snot rockets I was catching felt like ten pounders!LOL So the jury is still out on this braid thing!

Out on Dalrymple Saturday fishing for Bass trying out the new Braided line with a Senko tied on. Pitching said Senko on weedlines and I get a hit I give it the ole 3 count and set the hook hard well let me tell ya this 6 inch bass comes flying out of the water and hits me 6 inches below the belt line and drops me to my knees, man did that hurt. Jock straps for Bass fishing??

This will be my last go at this braid thing a lot of my buddies think I`am a little thick in the head for not liking braid, I won`t argue the thick part. I think the last problem I had with braid may have been more of a spooling and or set-up problem, we`ll see!

Since your a beginner I would change the line and use something a little heavier try 16/17 Take a bait and tie it on,tighten the spool tension knob all the way down now release the bail and slow loosen the knob until the bait falls gently to the floor and the spool stops spinning. When casting use your thumb as a brake, just before the bait hits the water stop the spool with your thumb. As you get some practice in you will be able to loosen the tension knob a bit and gain some distance. And one more tip try to avoid casting into a heavy wind even experienced casters can have problems with the wind.

Although I am a die hard fan of plain ole mono CTC has the above mentioned line on sale for 40% off or 14.99 a box I am going too try this braid thing again!!

AC is always on as is music in the background, I don`t know what the market is like down your way but it`s pretty slow here in two weeks two showings and a offer which I rejected outright and I am priced right in one of the better area`s of Shelburne and my home shows great.
