EDIT- Jocko already said it...
-
It's actually because UPS charges a "brokerage fee" which is a certain percentage of your parcel that goes directly to UPS for them doing...absolutly nothing. Ship USPS and and you'll be good to go as they dont charge this fee to you. And usually if something shows up at the border and its under 50$ the customs guys wave it on through and dont charge duty...

Hey...don't you have some sort of cousin kissing contest to attend? ***banjo playing in background***

Yah I noticed that right away they have that rubber grommet to keep water out...just gotta be careful thats all. What size tierras are you running for carp (and your other setups for that matter )what line??? Speak!!! I am a sponge...bringeth the knowledge.
-
Well knowing that they're tested "Carp Tough" is good enough for me, as all I'll be doing is winching in lazy Walleye . How long have you been using them for?
-
Correction, the handle is used to make me look super cool while fishing .
-
You gotta be stylin' to catch Wally's .

Well guys after just dropping 170$ on my new Daiwa Tierra 2000 today and still owing dough on my boat, I don't think I'll be fishing for a week or so...so instead of a report I figured I'd give some of the gear-heads on the site some gear porn to creep on . If you guys wanna add to the thread with your new "had to have purchases" then join in! You're seeing a St.Croix Mojo Bass Medium Light X-Fast 6'9" with a Daiwa Tierra 2000 size strapped to it...been using the rod for some time now for walleye and bass, just picked the reel up today...thinking of spooling up some high-vis yellow Power Pro 10lb .
-
oops..delete.
-
Thats impossible...fish can't be caught without using IMX Loomis' or SC VI graphites...same as moose and deer can't be killed without using WSM's and Ultra Mags .

I call them both names during conversations. I've been brought up my whole life calling them pickerel and partridge...but facts are facts and that's just not their name, so I call them both, because I will never leave my roots behind. As for calling them YUMMY....AGREED .
-
Mud wholes aren't the problem, its tree stumps and not being able to keep the transfer case engaged while a giant death cloud of flies are attacking us . PS- If anyone goes on a guided trip by Wormdangler, bring a jack-all and ALOT of bugdope!!!
-
You just had to rub that in didnt ya Gavin? The reason for the hook jaw and colours on the speck is because its filled to the teats with poison...I demand you immediatley hand it over to me for further testing
-
Well thats a creative way to utilize your old transom mount trolling motor!!
-
I'll see if its still on there but i think they took it down...because it was bought....by me...
-
Wheres the fun in ordering them????!!?!?!@? Try chartreuse/pink for a "clown" bead setup, blue beads and silver blades work ok too, never had much luck with Ruby/Red. I usually run 3 or 4 beads then my blade, then one more bead. I also have tried using tiny (number 8 i think?) Eagle claw trebles as my second stinger hook and i just let it trail on my minnow rigs...they've proved deadly . EDIT- For my hooks I run Mustad and Gamakatsu "octopus beak" hooks in 6, 4, 2, and 1/0.

What is your budget? Do you want that shiny new rig or a slightly used one or what? I was in the same boat last month. All spring long I'd had been looking for a 16 foot utility boat. Keep an eye on trader.ca, boattrader.ca, and kijiji. Use the price searches to narrow things down for you. Theres ALOT of 1995-2000 boat motor and trailer packs going for 4000$ and under. I searched on boattrader and found a new non-current 2005 Princecraft Holiday 16' (83" Beam ) for 3500$ regular 4800$. If you want a 14 footer with a factory floor then a Princecraft Yukon DLX or a Lund WC 14 DLX is the way to start. If you want to save some money and buy a bare bones utility boat THEN add/build the floor yourself, I seen quite a few 2008 Lund WC 16 footers going for 2800$ new on trader.ca. If I were you I'd get the biggest bare bones boat you could get then add the floor yourself as time and money permits .

Shoot me some pics of the boat and downrigger setup!!! I just bought a 16" Princecraft Holiday and I'm mounting the same Scotty Electrics in mine. I'd like to see your modifications/accessories...if you dont mind good sir .
