  1. Um....its cooler???? Just a change in pace is all
  2. LOL!
  3. I'm hoping to pair this reel up with a 7' Croix Legend Walleye 7' medium/moderate I plan to buy this week. Hopefully in a couple weeks I can give you guys my opinion on it along with some pics . EDIT- The Stradic Ci4 I am talking about...
  4. I vote you strip the old cork off, sleeve on a new ass end and make it a split grip handle!!!
  5. This is what I hear...Epp's seems to be a Gun and Tackle paradise!! I might make a road trip down there this year...bringing a hefty line of credit with me. Very cool of you Skud
  6. X2 on the dace...those things are tough!! No word of a lie...I had bought my dace in town (the sault) dumped their water out...drove to Wawa (almost 2 hours), 30 min hike in...put the "dead" minnow on...went and checked my line 10 minutes later...the Bufoon was alive!!!! A quick smurf kick to the head and he was out though . From that point on I always make sure I drain their water the night before, or just bring frozen minnows...thats the last thing I need is one hardcore "never say die" minnow getting me a live bait fine
  7. Nice eye's Limey! As always you lay the smack down on those toothy buggers!!
  8. Let the bidding commence at 29$ per each.
  9. Just call EPP's up and ask them to ship you a bunch. They do mail order stuff all the time, they wouldn't have a problem shipping you some .
  10. or if you ask the question "can i get a dozen medium dace" at the Trading Post you get whatever the hell they feel like giving you apparently... ...crooks...
  11. If you just want to keep minnows for 1-2 weeks do this....I crap you not.... throw the bag in the fridge and walk away....
  12. Bill I just get mine from my local shop. The good thing with that is you can talk to other fisherman and get their opinions on how to set-up harnesses...but first you gotta decipher what is Bull and what is truth . I found a good thread on another board on this topic... http://www.michiganwalleye.com/forum/showt...d.php?p=3086971
  13. Heres my *little* setup. The snell holders are Lindy brand.
  14. Yah one thing I've noticed so far is the Walleye I've caught don't seem to care about the pattern of beads on a spinner. I could put a Perch blade on one line with green/orange alternating beads and then the same blade on another line but with 3 green beads in a row followed by 3 orange ones and they are both going to produce the same amount of fish. What I find more important (and harder) to do is find the hot colour on a new lake you've never fished before.
  15. Very interested! PM me with prices when you are ready to sell them
  16. Yes sir I can agree with you 100% on that one . I doubt it will be my last Mojo-Bass...I need an entry level casting rod soon .
  17. Its as easy as learning to tie a snell knot Bill!! and I find it a fun past time...
  18. All my stuff is from scratch. Thats another reason I posted...hopefully to get some veterans to share their patterns or secrets .
  19. Don't get me wrong they are a great deal for the money and I actually own one . I have the 6'8" ML-XF Drop Shot rig. They are a great deal it's just I find the SCIII graphite (which you are right is the same as the Avids) seem's to be too "floppy" for a finesse rod.
  20. The Mojo Bass and Premiers aren't all that nice. They're made of lower end graphites. If you can save up the extra couple bucks and get into the 220$ range you could check out the Legend Tournament Bass series from Croix. I've been thinking/looking all winter for new Walleye rods and I think I've come to settle on the Legend Walleye rods (same as the legend bass). They are super light, stiff/sensitive and made of the second best graphite Croix has to offer and are sold at over 100$ off Croix's "flagship" Legend Extreme.
  21. Ok, I'll admit it...I NEED the ice to go so I can haul some Walleye in!!! I threw some new harnesses together, revamped some old ones and changed the line on them. I need to go get some different colour beads and blades. My variety right now isn't much of a variety, more like a bunch of similar coloured colorado blades. Hooks by the way are Mustad Ultra-Point Octo-beaks in 6, 1/0 and 2/0 for trebles I use Eagle Claws almost exclusively. Anyone have any suggestions for patterns? Floaters
