Not sure if this unit can even record Paul... I know there is a Seperate piece for aqua view but I don't know if that'll work on my cabelas camera... Or if I even have the ports...

Just curious.. Is the bite tough because they're eating bugs or is it because the hatch happens during the same temps that the fish transition in??? Cause the shad flies ( maybe mayflies) are booming right now and the walleye are on the move... Very few spots producing right now... And the bass are also leaving their beds to main lake/river structure... But if you know where to find the fish they are crazy aggressive... I had walleye inhaling my cranks last night and the smallies were crushing them as well.... I personally don't think the fish will refuse a bait because it's was eating tiny bugs all day... I think you just have to look harder for the active fish... That's my thoughts anyways...

Went out for walleye yesterday... And since I was flying solo I thought I would bring the underwater camera to play around a bit... First spot I hit I got 5 walleye in 5 trolls then nothing... So I figured I should drop the camera to see if I could spot any... As soon as the camera made it to the bottom... It was swarmed by smallmouth bass... The entire drift they were circling the camera and bumping it... It was pretty cool to see... I wasn't able to spot any walleye with it yesterday but lots of smallies and a few big suckers... The camera was the cheapie from cabelas and the picture was pretty good... It was only $80 on sale...Only issue is the tv display is hard to see in the sunlight.... Finished the day with 11 walleye and 5-6 oos smallmouth boated and a handful of dropped fish... And luckily the rain never got me... All in all a great day on the water

Go stainless If you gunna bump your prop LIGHTLY and you know this... The stainless will not bend... However the shock is distributed to other parts of the motor... But at least if I hit a log while trolling I don't need to quit fishing for the day and get the prop repaired...

Yup 500+ hours on probation... Then another raise... I don't plan on letting up anytime soon... This job is great... It's very physical so it's a good workout... I've lost like 30 pounds in 2 months... And there's room to grow within this company... It's HUGE... So I have to keep going like I'm always on probation so I can try to move up the ladder... And get experience that can help me in the future if something should come up...

Do you use a transom saver/outboard motor support?
mike rousseau replied to hooked!'s topic in General Discussion
Hey Lots of people wast time and money doing all sorts of unnecessary things because tv convinced them to... Just look at flu shots...lol But go right ahead and do what everyone says instead of using logic.... I'm sure I'm wrong about the torque of your motor being far greater then the torque created by your motor bouncing when you drive over a crack in the road... I ave been wrong before and I'm sure I'll be wrong again... ... -

To me it's target species.... If I'm fishing walleye and catch 10 smallmouth and no walleye... In my eyes that's still a failure for the day... And I got skunked for the species I was targeting... If your in a tournament for walleye... Catching pike...bass...musky... Doesn't mean anything at the weigh in... But if your just out trying to catch whatever will hit you line... Who cares what's pulling on the other end... And I have had days in my boat where we were targeting walleye and smallies helped make the day... Or an accidental musky... If I'm fishing with my normal 2-3 people that are in my boat the most we curse non target fish... But if I have someone that's more new to fishing... The more fish of any species the better... I wouldn't worry to much... Just target a good time and you'll never get skunked...

Nice catch... The only one we hooked up on buried in the weeds and got off...

We knew we wouldn't be out to long for musky due to poor weather and the fact that I've been sick for 3 weeks and didn't wanna make it worse... So we only fished for about 4 hours on Saturday and I lost a 45 or so incher... And had 1 low and away follower... The rest of the guys I knew up there that were able to fish a full day all boated fish and had a good day... That walleye was one of the hardest fights I've ever seen from a walleye... It kept diving down and pulling drag... I Definately thought it was an oos musky.... Glad you had fun Paul... And I think you still learned a few things about musky fishing...lol Oh Almost forgot.... Paul managed to hook a "little" something right at the launch with a handlebarz gold colored inline.... I'd say a it was about 6 inches...lmao... It wasn't an Oscar Meyer but close enough...lol ...

well my neighbor had to do some serious foundation work... but in order to get the kubota into his backyard the company had to go across my driveway and grass...and also kinda had to park on my grass so they wouldnt have to park 2 blocks away... they first asked permission to do so and i did not hesitate to say go ahead... im not fussy about how my lawn looks and my boat was at the mechanic so there was plenty of room... well after 2-3 weeks of work they are finished... then a couple minutes ago i get a knock on the door... its one of the workers and he hands me an envelope... inside is a thank you letter and a gift card for kelsey's for me and the wife to go out for dinner.... i thought that was awesome... the guys could tell i didnt really care about them crossing my yard and they still went out of their way to give us a thank you gift... 2 thumbs way up for Londondale - Chimney & Foundation Services

for you believer guys.... if your trolling em... how fast are you trolling....? and if your casting em... how are you working em...? and what sizes work for you...? i havent got a ski on a believer/swim wizz in years.... but it was a swim wizz that really opened my eyes to using lures for musky over live bait when i was younger.... first time i ever trolled musky i got 3 in an hour on a swim wizz

black/orange -stalker black/orange -10 inch jake perch -stalker black or white or pink 10 inch red october tubes i mostly troll so i lean to cranks...but also on the st.lawrence the water is clear and its good to get down a bit... so i actually cast with the 10 inch jakes... and the tubes are a great alternative to other soft plastics... they actually last pretty long... last one i replaced was chewed on by 7-8 musky... not bad for a soft plastic... you can cast em...troll em... jig em... id put money on these baits to catch a fish any day... where i fish anyways...

Yeah... Cold front last night.....lol
