I need to do some exploring around home here for a good shore walleye spot . Looks like a blast.

Nice going, I haven't hunted since my days in NC . I'm finally going this weekend to get my PAL and hunter safety. Going to try to fill a tag with the crossbow the last 2 weeks of the year as I'm off work anyways. Hope a beast like that strolls my way.

I got a PM a few weeks ago stating that Ckewley had a line on the legendary lake that the MNR accidentally stocked with Auroras, and since they were stocked into a Brookie lake they were technically Brookies he asked if I was down and I instantly cleared my schedule for a few days.
Last Thursday a motley crew of hardcore OFC Brookie fishermen met up at the hwy 89 carpool well before sun up and headed North for a few nights.
We did not take a whole lot of pictures but ended up with about 20 Brookies , 10 auroras , and 2 rainbows between us. Not bad considering the lakes were mid turnover. The Brookies were nice and colorful, the Bonfires were massive, the fish-tales even bigger, and the beers were plenty.
Thanks Guys for a great few days.
And to you know who your are that gave us the tip ....we are forever in debt.
till our next adventure.......

Awesome stuff. Makes me want to sell the house and move north.
-
Home hardware has them also... They work good we had one at the lakehous growing up and def. helped in the winter.

My boat caught 144 Chinook , 23 coho, 63 rainbow, 8 Browns and 1 Atlantic. in the last 2 years on Lake Ontario . Time to ditch the Atlantics. I like coho and rainbow but I find the chinooks the most predictable, and easiest to catch.

Wish I could make it never fished st Clair.

Yep September hours.. reason there's a line up is because it's a great ramp. And Russ is a good dude once ya get to know him.

I'm still hoping for another trip the weekend after this one but will be out in 250-300 hopefully looking for some meat to fill the freezer for winter.

Chris Brock and Ckewely met me down in the hammer around 4 but it Was nasty out on the big lake, So we fished the Hamilton harbour . None of us had done this before and we had low expectations. The graph was nuts I wish we had a picture, but we couldn't get a bite for the first 40 min. We switched some baits up end ended the day 1/3. Not bad for 2 hours fishing
Nice evening to be out on the water and a tank 28 lb salmon . This fish had all sorts of tricks up its gills , swam past the boat, played dead, wrapped the rigger cable. A quick pic and she swam off to do her business.....on that note what business is she doing in Hamilton harbour anyways...dumb salmon.
Pleasure getting out with you guys, next time hopefully the weatherman cooperates
