yea he had to look long and hard to get a deal. Perfect size for him fishes 3 comfortably at 16 ft it's super light for him to tow and the 60 will do 32 mph. Although it was a little overladed on way in with beer minnows Ice and 100l of fuel in jereycansIs that the boat Dad finally bought Andrew? Nice rig.

Nice shootin' Andrew. Looks like some good memories were made. And nice fire.
Thanks. Better than the fire we had in the snow chasing auroas eh.

I thought you were going to be roughing it this trip. LOL
Great time with your pop. NICE.
Hey we slept in a tent.

Well, your Dad certainly knows how to dress properly for a fish! Great shirt he has there! He would fit in with our group quite well!
Great pics by the way and I can't think of a better way to spend time!
Thanks for sharing!
HH
Ha he loves that shirt. Even had to wash it in the lake so he could wear it home .
Very nice! Sure looks like you guys did alright during daylight hours as well! That place is beautiful. Is it easy to launch your own boat on that lake?
Launch at mowhats landing boat a mile or so upriver to the dam and there's a guy with a multibunk trailer that will lift ya over 25 bucks on the way out campsites suitable for boat are hard we had to rope the boat offshore in a cove as seen in one of the pics. All walleye were caught after 5 pm it stays light out a fair while longer there right now.
There were a few never fished it in the evening we never had a reason to move more than a mile from camp. That second last pic looks like the inlet from Diamond. Anything in that outflow?

Was up at lady E camping Monday to Friday last week. Bluebird days and super hot temps isn't what comes to mind for ideal walleye conditions we were concerned going in as neither of us are super accomplished walleye fisherman . Heck i have only caught about 100 in my life and dad even less.
We got our ass kicked during the day and we pounded them at night. Our best night we figure we boated 800 inches of walleye. average size up here was HUGE we only caught 11 fish all week under 17.5 and biggest was 26.5. most were 19-23. had a great week exploring this awesome lake and cant wait to get back soon. Best part was catching up with Dad as this was the longest ive ever spent with him just the two of us. Happy Fathers Day everyone.
Heres the goods.

Ive fished it caught a few small pike and bass . Nice little lake we only fished for an hour or so before we got blown off by a thunderstorm.
-
Another option for ya would have been to pump the lover full of grease. Not ideal but could have got ya by for a week. Just keep adding grease every day to remove the water . I ran a old 65 merc with grease in the lower for a few years. Like I said it's not ideal but it will keep it alive.

Nice read guys.

Sweet memories for you and him.

I have a good friend battleling Lyme. It's up there with chemo as far as intensity, Lymes no joke.

That stinks man. If it makes you feel better I left my 15 hp motor sitting on a dock outside Hearst last year and doesn't realize till I was way in the bush wish no cell service near timiskiming

Lower lake Huron has some great salmon fishing and is a lot closer to you,may not have the numbers or size of Lake ontario but some good fishing none the less.
Can't even compare the two fisheries. Night and day in my opinion.

Mr Rohr has my vote. Got me hooked on kings a few years back. But if it's solely big kings look out of buffers or Whitby in July August.
-
I would not pay period. Work preformed is not what was contracted.
-
Rick hit the nail on the head for kings...maddening.

Also one on the highway near the native rez. On the way to the French across from lcbo. Nice old lady In there she must be 90. She is funny when she catches giant sucker minnows from tank with bear hands.

Carbon tv on my roku is pretty good

Headed up in a few weeks for 5 days for some camping and walleye. Anyone know if any of the lodges sell fuel and ice...i guess I could call around but this is easier.

oh boy. Nothing I've ever caught in freshwater compares to the ferocity of the initial strike of a 20 lb spring king on a wire dipsie. I've had some peel 150 ft of line before we put the brakes on em. Then you have a pissed of king with 300 ft of line out. I find the 20lbers in the spring fight harder than the 30lbers in the fall Your welcome anytime bunk the boats in Hamilton.Gotta get an open water salmon some day.
Nice going FreshT!
